"Heel" - The Word Of The Week

Cira is doing great, but she still needs work on her heel command.  Her trainer is going to work extra hard on “heel” this week. Cira knows all of her other commands very well plus, she knows a few more besides the basic ones.  She is just an awesome girl!  She is very playful and loves squeaky toys and the Kong filled with peanut butter.  She seems to have a good appetite too. Cira’s trainer is really going to miss her and hates to see her leave.

Little Princess

Another week has come and gone with Cira and soon she will be graduating. She is a quick learner and knows all her commands and also some extras, such as shake, kiss, speak, i love you and show me love. She has done amazingly well with her training and her trainer is very proud of Cira.

Cira is a friendly and loving dog to everyone. She loves to run and play with the big ball on the yard. She’s a joy to have around and her trainer is going to miss her little princes when she goes, but she is going to make her new family extremely happy.

What's It Taste Like?

Cira is following her commands happily and quickly, and overall doing very well.  She has been very quick to learn most of her basic commands and even some extra tricks.  She and her trainer are currently working on “Heel” and “Release”, and her trainer is confident she will learn those quickly as well.  Cira’s trainer works a lot of play into their practice, so that Cira doesn’t become overwhelmed and continues to enjoy learning.

Cira likes to explore the world by putting everything in her mouth - sort of like a toddler - so her trainer has to be vigilant during outside playtime to make sure she “Drops” whatever she picks up.

Chasing Cira

Cira is doing an awesome job with her commands. She learns quickly so she’s doing great learning and having fun while doing it. She loves all toys, especially ones that squeak, and almost all treats, except for sweet potato flavored ones. She gets along well with all of the staff and the other dogs, but her favorite type of play is chasing the big ball in the yard on her own.

She still pulls a little on the leash, but her trainer is working with her on that. She is a little nervous on the waxed floors inside because sometimes they make her slip. Her trainer makes Cira slow down and she is doing much better. She is doing fantastic on the stairs.

A Fun Beauty

Cira is still doing great and has adjusted very well to her surroundings.  She enjoys playing with toys, especially running after the big ball in the yard.  Her trainer describes her as beautiful and fun and just a joy to work with!

The commands she knows so far are “Sit”, “Bed”, “Kennel”, “Down”, “Hurry”, “Let’s Go”, and “Here”.  She is working on “Stay” and “Speak”. All in all she is doing great!

Fly Fearless

Cira is turning out to be a very sweet and happy dog!  She’s already conquered her fear of squeaky toys and will now run to play with them instead of running away.  She’s also mastered the stairs that she was struggling with last week.

Cira enjoys training but can be easily distracted by sights and sounds around her.  Her trainer is currently having her work on “Kennel”, “Here”, “Down”, and “Bed”. She is a little stubborn at times, but for only her second week of training, she is doing so well.

Sweet Little Girl

Cira got thrown into the deep end with stairs training, since her trainer’s room is upstairs from the play and training rooms. She’s doing great with it so far, although she still needs a little help and encouragement going up.

Cira is still a little shy in her new environment, but a little baby-talk from her trainer and she comes out of her kennel, tail wagging and eager to please. She’s a little afraid of some of the noisier toys, but she does like to lay around and play with another dog, Rosita.
