Winning Personality

From the start of this session with Penelope, her trainer knew she was a special dog and they built a strong bond and he is going to miss her very much. He loved working with her, teaching her commands. She is always willing to work for treats and is very smart, so training went very well.

Penelope is the cream of the crop and her trainer recommends her wholeheartedly. She is going to be your new best friend forever. Her trainer guarantees it.

This Gal's Got Spirit!

Penelope has taken a week off from her normal team and is spending swap week with team twelve. Swap Week helps the trainers make sure the dogs don’t have any separation anxiety when they come to live with you! They also test the dogs to make sure they will do their commands for new people. Everyone on team twelve missed their primary pup, but Penelope was so cute and rambunctious that they fell in love instantly. Even for a 7-year old, Penelope is a fast runner with a lot of playful energy! She is such a great dog and she will settle right into your heart as soon as you meet her.

A Real Go-Getter

Penelope enjoyed running on the big yard with her trainer this week. She takes off like a rocket ship! The energy and enthusiasm in her personality continues to have a positive impact on everyone she meets. She is a real go-getter and no other dog has a smile like hers. Once a champion racer, Penelope can now be a champion pet! Penelope is superior in speed and beauty.

Penelope’s trainers have started to do their testing and this brilliant young lady is making them very proud. Her “stay” is impeccable. She has been a great learner. Her trainer is glad that she’s getting a new forever family of her own Penelope deserves it. He will miss her very much when they part.

Greyhound Extraordinaire

Ms. Penelope is extraordinary in every possible way. She is a very beautiful and smart hound. She knows all her basic commands, loves to run and play and gets along well with other dogs and people. Penelope thinks everyone is here to give her love and pets. She’s a fun girl to be around.

During her off time, you can catch her lying around with her feet stuck up in the air “roaching”. She is one silly pup!

Birthday Girl

This was an exciting week for lovely Penelope as her trainers demonstrated her skills doing her commands for the class. She lights up the program as the life of the party, because she always has an enthusiastic attitude.

Penelope had a birthday a few days ago and celebrated with extra treats, a play date with her friend Bella and lots of loving from everyone. She turned six, but still acts like a playful puppy at times.

In addition to her beauty and winning personality, Penelope is a fast learner. She will happily perform her commands for treats and she loves to smile at people to get petted. Penelope is an extraordinarily affectionate girl and you will love her.

Carry On Princess Penelope

Can you believe it?  We’re at the half way point with training!  Her inmate trainer says that she’s doing well with her commands and stair climbing has also improved.  She’s still working on her leash walking skills and continues to improve every day.  She sometimes forgets that her inmate trainer is holding the end of her leash, but it’s easy to get sidetracked with all the interesting stuff to sniff.  Her inmate trainer says that he gets her to focus on him and she snaps right out of her daydream and continues on like a little princess.

Penelope loves to run and play and if she spots a human she thinks she should get all the attention.   She’s pretty cute so we can see why she thinks that.

Bundle of Love

This little girl is doing great. Penelope did very well on her weekly testing and she has a working knowledge of all 13 commands. Hopefully in another week or two, she will be proficient in all of them.

Penelope is still as playful and loving as ever. She has yet to meet a stranger! She is going to make some family a very happy one, and she certainly brings a lot of joy into her trainer's life!

Lap Dog

Penelope is doing great. She has learned a lot over the last three weeks. Sometimes it takes her a bit to focus on the task at hand, but when she does, she gets down to business.

Penelope’s trainer introduced her to toys and she went bananas over them. She has the excitement of a puppy during playtime. Tossing the toys around. She also loves to run outside on the big yard. .

This week her trainer was sitting on the floor while Penelope played. She came over, did a circle and laid in her trainer’s lap. It just melted his heart. Who says greyhounds aren’t lap dogs? Penelope says they are.

Training Is Fun

Ms. Penelope and her beautiful smile, learned a lot this week.  She learned to wait at doors, how to heel, kennel – enter and exit, leave it, here and sit.  There’s still a lot of work to be done with her, but she has come a long way since she came off the truck.  She has a ways to go, but she’s well on her way to perfection.

Penelope is a very happy girl.  She’s a bundle of joy and you will love her.

Miss Penny, Full of Love

Penelope came off the truck with her tail wagging in a blur! She has, or rather does have, a cute lop-sided smile that makes everyone laugh every time she does it. Penelope is a very happy and excited girl. This past week, she and her trainer took the time to get to know each other. They worked on leash-walking, kennel, name, and let's go. Right now her leash-walking is rough only because she is so excited! The kennel command and name are going well. Check back next week to see what else she has learned.
