Tail Chaser

As Jaxi’s time at the prison comes to an end, her trainers think about how far she has come and all she has accomplished. Jaxi is an awesome dog and loyal, loving friend. She is always attentive to her surroundings and is always eager to please. Jaxi continues to love to cuddle and at times she even snores. Playing a game of fetch never gets old, nor does chasing her own tail.

Jaxi still can be very sassy and will let you know when she has to “hurry”. Her trainers lover her so much and are very proud of everything she has learned. They pray she is a great joy to her forever family and they will miss her very much.

Keeps Everyone Smiling

Throughout this week Jaxi’s trainers have really been working on the command “visit”. She is doing really well with it and she still gets very excited to see new people. She continues to do really well with her basic and extra commands and does them all with hand signals, with or without treats. Her trainers are proud of all she has learned.

Jaxi is so adorable and loving. She helps to keep a smile on so many faces. She is very loved and everyone will miss Jaxi when she leaves.

Lots Of Treats For The New Year

This week training has been filled with lots of treats to help bring in the new year.  Jaxi is always ready to play and have fun.  She loves squeaky toys and stand ready to give/receive love and attention.  She performs her commands with or without treats. Her inmate trainer says that sometimes Jaxi will talk and it sounds like she’s saying “I love you” or “why”.  She’s a goofy bundle of love who is hard to resist!

Santa Visited Jaxi

This week was extra special for Jaxi because santa came early with gifts for her. She got chicken jerky and peanut butter/kibble Kong. Jaxi is a happy and playful girl as always. She has really gotten into going around for her visits. Her training continues to go very well. She does her commands without treats, but she doesn’t turn one down if offered to her. As her time at Pulaski comes to a close, her trainers are so proud of all her accomplishments.

"Visit"

Jaxi is doing great. She continues to be her sassy self. Training as usual is a ball because she is so excited and eager to please that she chatters and at times she even vibrates. LOL She is doing great with all her commands. She still needs to improve her her “stay”, but she’s doing better. She just wants to be wherever her trainer is.

Here’s her list of extras Jaxi knows: shake, which hand, paws up, bang bang, spin, look at me, kiss, fetch, say your prayers and visit. This week her trainer has really worked on “visit” and she is getting the hang of it.

Spunky Little Girl

Jaxi was a little under the weather this week, but after a few days she was back to her happy go lucky, spunky self. Training is still going good. She knows all her basic commands well, but can be slow to respond to stay, but her trainer is giving this one a little TLC and feels Jaxi will soon have it figured out. She is also working in an extra command, “visit”. This is a great command for therapy dogs. Check back on Jaxi’s progress next week.

Playtime At The Top Of The List

This week has been really laid back. Chanel Jaxi has continued her training exercises and her trainer has added a new extra “say your prayers”. She is playful as ever and still an outgoing gal. She loves her pillows and nap times. Chanel Jaxi is very attentive to her surroundings and loves to receive attention and love.

Playtime is an absolute favorite and she plays hard with her siblings. As for her appetite this week, she hasn’t been eating her breakfast, but lunch and dinner, she handles with gusto! She is still having separation anxiety when her trainer leaves, but its improving. Her trainers are so proud of all her success during her time at Pulaski.

Attention Please

Chanel’s doing great!  She can be a little stubborn with the “stay” command.  But honestly, who likes to stay when there’s a big ole world to explore.  She loves to play with her litter mates and is very treat motivated.  This week they’ve been working on silent commands and she’s doing fantastic.  She loves to receive attention and love.  Her inmate trainer says that she’s had a great time working with this sweet girl!

Roaching Queen

Chanel is the best playmate. She is a ball of energy. When Chanel sleeps, she looks angelic and she’s the queen of roaching. She does like to nest and will bunch up her bedding until it’s just right.

Chanel’s coat is showing more of her ticked spots on her back and ears. She’s a beautiful baby girl. Chanel got a new squeaky toy this week and her squeaking knows no end. LOL She is doing better with her separation anxiety. She might bark 2 or 3 times if she doesn’t see her trainer, but then she grabs her toys and lays on top of them.

Alert & Attentive

Throughout the week her trainer has been working on her kennel training. She’s gotten somewhat better with her separation anxiety. She will whine and at times bark when left alone, but she quiets down quickly. Chanel is still very playful and outgoing. She plays well with the others, but also enjoys time to herself. Nap time is essential. She is doing great with her commands and extras.

Chanel enjoys being groomed and getting all the attention. She’s a very loving girl. At the beginning of the week, her trainer was sick. Chanel was very attentive and alert to her trainers needs and kept a close eye on her. Her trainer is loving every moment she spends with Chanel.

Ready To Play!

Chanel is a bundle of energy and is always ready to play. Her trainers continue to work on her kennel training. She would rather be hanging out with her humans than in her crate, but she’s making progress.

Chanel is eager to please and loves treats. When it’s nap time Chanel loves her little fan to keep her cool. She can also be a little nosey, but her trainer said it’s the cutest thing ever when she is alert and her ears stand straight up. Maybe one day she will grow into them. LOL

Early Riser

Chanel has shown more of her stubborn side this week, but overall she had done really well with her training. They have been focusing on her kennel training, due to her whining and barking when she is left alone. She is doing better. It’s a work in progress and her trainer is very proud of all she has learned so far.

Chanel is an early morning kind of girl. She’s up around 6 am, wide awake and ready to go. Chanel is always ready to play with the others and her toys. Her trainer can’t wait to see what else she accomplishes.

Gimme A "Kiss"

Stairs are not problem for Chanel. She can climb them with ease. She is doing great with all her commands, but the “stay” command is kind of tough for a puppy. Her trainer continues to work with her on them. Chanel has some extra commands under her belt. She knows “kiss”, “shake”, “paws up” and “which hand”.

Playtime is a huge favorite and a nap always follows. She has had no potty accidents this week. She continues to impress her trainers daily.

Snuggle Pup

She can be stubborn at times, but hey, she’s still a puppy and puppies just want to have fun! All in all she is doing very well in her training.

Ready To Explore

Chanel arrived full of energy and ready to explore every corner of her new lodging!  She wasn’t very sure about her spa day.  The bathtub was a strange contraption, but she did really well with it.  She did just fine with her nail trim and thought the ear cleaning was a little weird and unnecessary. Her inmate trainer said that Chanel did just fine with all the weird grooming, but she would have loved to know what she was thinking!

They’ve been working on potty training and she’s doing great!  She’s doing well with leash walking, but still has a lot to learn.  Her little personality is starting to come out and her inmate trainer says she can’t wait to see who Chanel really is!
