Love & Patience For Dora

Dora’s last week has been nothing short of amazing. When she comes out of her shell, she is so sassy and unique. It just takes her time to warm up to people. It will take love and patience to see her true colors, but it is great to see her transformation. Dora can be finicky with her food, but she will eat when she thinks you aren’t watching.

Dora is most playful in the early mornings. Her trainer feels she will do great in her forever home. She said she will always love and remember her. Thank you for sharing sweet, sweet Dora. She will be missed.

Sweetie Pie

Swap week went good with Dora. She knows all her commands and does them when asked. Her swap week trainer said she is a sweet girl, but shy. She ate her food in the morning, but didn’t want to eat in the evenings sometimes. Her primary trainer said she takes time to warm up to new people, so please give Dora time to adjust to her new home. She is a sweetheart! Give her a chance and you won’t be disappointed in the wonderful companion she will become. Time and patience is the key.

Forever Family Here I Come

Dora has really come out of her shell.  She enjoys her outside time and morning play time.  She is doing great with her commands.  She can still be a little shy from time to time, but comes around a little faster these days.  She loves her pillows and still enjoys spending time in her kennel.  She’s doing her commands without treats, but it takes her just a few mins longer to follow through without the proper motivation.

Dora’s inmate trainer says that she’s so proud of this sweet girl!  She said it’s been a great joy helping prepare Dora for her forever home.

Love That Squeaky Chicken!

Mornings are Dora’s favorite time of the day. She enjoys her breakfast and then she will find her teddy bear and snuggle with it. When she becomes very comfortable, she will snore and grunt in her sleep. Dora did “roach” for the first time this week and her trainer said it was the most adorable thing ever.

Dora gets very excited to play outside with the squeaky funky chicken. She really gives it her all. She will also roo when she plays sometimes. Dora has also begun doing her commands without treats. Her trainer is very proud her her progress.

A"Dora"ble!!

As this week has come to a close Dora’s trainer is proud to say she has shown more enthusiasm for her commands. She knows most of her commands well. She needs more work on sit, jump and leave it.. Her trainer feels she will have them mastered by graduation.

She is still shy with newcomers, but does warm up. She likes to play with the other greyhounds and played with the toy chicken outside a couple times, which was so adorable, just like Dora. She is cutest little girl ever.

Blossoming Personality

Throughout this week the trainers have continued to work with Dora on her commands. She is doing better with following through. She does still like to “sit” by the wall, but she is doing great.

This week Dora played with the ball and rubber chicken on the field and also played more with the other dogs. Dora is such a funny girl when she goes outside. Her personality is adorable and she is showing more of it each day. She will now walk around the dorm and sneak a sniff. Her safe places are her kennel, her trainer’s room and the training room. Dora has lots of love to give.

Progressing Nicely

Dora’s inmate trainer says that she’s ecstatic to report the progress Dora has made! She’s coming out of her shell a little more each day!  She did a fantastic job for their first show and tell.  This is where they stand in front of the room and go over commands for everyone in the program.

Dora’s a pampered princess who loves her body pillow.  She doesn’t mind having her nails trimmed.  They’ve been working on “sit” this week.  She understands, but is a little slow following through.  They’ll continue working on her response time, but her inmate trainer says they are so very proud of this sweet girl!

Dora Loves Her Bed

Dora has done very well this week training. Her favorite command is “bed”. She is coming out of her shell a little more with each passing day. She is acclimating to the level of noise in the prison. She is very alert to her surroundings but relaxes after a couple minutes. You will look over to find her napping on one of the large pillows. She’s such a sweet girl!

Dora loves peanut butter and this is her treat of choice. Her trainer is looking forward to the week’s ahead with Dora and can’t wait to see even more of her personality while she is getting ready for her forever home.

Sweet Personality

When Dora first arrived she was shy, but she’s slowly coming out of her shell.  She likes to lounge around in her kennel.  She’s showing a little spunk while outside in the yard.  Her inmate trainer says that Dora has a very sweet personality which makes her even more beautiful than she already is!  Her inmate trainer says that she can’t wait to see what all Dora learns while she’s in the program.
