Forever Family. Here I Come!

Hey Guys!  I'm back for another week into my life.  Well,  I guess something special is supposed to happen soon.  My trainer keeps telling me that I am almost out of here.  I'm a little nervous, because the last time somebody told me that, I ended up here... in prison.  It turned out to be an ok place though.  I met a bunch of nice guys and they taught me a a lot.  I did take my final test on my commands and I believe I did great.  I'm excited to start the next chapter in my life... Forever family and home.  I can't wait

I'm Yours!

It's swap week here at the Second Chance Greyhounds Academy for higher learning.  As you can expect Felicia did great.  She does all of her basic commands flawlessly.  She did them all on the first try.  She has a great extra command called "bye" Felicia.  That's where she will sit and wave one paw in the air.  It's adorable to see and she can't wait to show you her infamous wave!

Felicia loves play time after her training session.  She entertains herself and her trainers.  They love watching her chase a toy around the dorm.  You are sooooo going to enjoy sweet Felicia!  One more week and she's all yours!

Lucky Lady

What a week!  Felicia here to give you the scoop.  I am super loving and laid back most of the time.  I do get a little excited when it comes to feeding time and play time.  Who doesn't?  That being said, my trainers are having me wait patiently before I get food or a toy.  They tell me I'm doing so much better with that.  It's just so hard when you LOVE food and toys and they are right there in front of you.  I tell myself,  "willpower Felicia... willpower."

I know all my commands.  I know most of them with hand signals and all with verbal cues.  I'm pretty smart and a joy to work with.  My trainer tells me that all the time.  I'm going to make an awesome addition to some lucky family.  Actually, I think I am the lucky one...

She's a catch!

Hello! Felicia here again with another update for a week in my life. I'm still doing my commands every day and becoming a real master at it. I'm so good, I even master them in my sleep! This week I learned a new extra called "catch." My trainer throws some kibble toward me and I catch it in my mouth! Everyone seems to think it's pretty cute. I believe I was born just for this extra command because it is truly my favorite! I'll catch for anything and for everybody.

Princess "Wave". Nailed it.

Hey Felicia here just letting you know how things are going.  I know my basic commands like the back of my paw.  Forwards and backwards.  So, my trainer decided this week to teach me a new extra, which I learned super quick, by the way.  The new trick is called "wave".  Every time he does the hand signal and says bye Felicia, I sit down and wave my paw.  Everyone thinks it's hilarious and gets quite a kick out of it.  I on the other hand, think it's pretty funny too, because I get rewarded double time!  Now who gets the last laugh?  

In a few more weeks I can "wave" bye to my trainer and "wave" helloooo to my new family!   I can't wait!!!

Energizer Bunny Girl

Felicia is asleep right now, which means her trainer can write his blog entry - she is so sweet and LOVES toys. She is learning how not to wander out and explore every place she sees. What's wrong with a Dora the Explorer kind of girl? 

She has picked up on all of her commands so quickly. She is an extremely smart dog and is going to make a great addition to any family who opens their heart to her - especially an active family with a special, open place for her to kick up her heels every now and then.

Furever Home For Me?

Hello Humans!  Felicia here!  Another week has gone by and I got to try this new game called basketball.  Oh, and let me tell you, I wanted that bouncy thing!  My inmate trainer said that if I remained by his side and played it cool I’d get a treat.  Well, that wasn’t so easy but I did it and the payment was yummy.  I’m willing to work on it a little more you know, so I get better and a few more treat payments.  

Okay so my inmate trainer says that once I grad-u-wait I get my very own furever home!  So I’m not real sure what all that is, but it sounds pretty awesome… dog beds, treats and relaxation… Yep, sounds like a good fit to me! 

Laid-back Lady

Hey guys! Felicia here again for another update of a week in my cool life. This week I had a chance to explore a new room here. I was extremely excited and just couldn't hide it! Right now, I'm laying on my bed relaxing while my trainer is watching something called football. Gimme that ball!! 

My trainer had me sitting, staying, downing and doing my other commands this week. I'm glad I can relax today but I really want to go play with a toy right now... Well, this is my life for this week... talk with you next week! Felicia out. 

Gorgeous Girl!

Hello peeps!  Felicia here with another peek at my life here at Second Chance Greyhounds Academy!  I am adjusting well to my new "home".  I don't want to be here forever, but it will do for now.  I'm hoping that I get adopted soon and have a forever home to go to.  I'm not exactly sure what that is, but I hear it's amazing!

I found a toy a really like and I'm learning to "sit" for it.  My trainer is also trying to teach me "down", and I'm starting to pick up on it.  He seems to get really excited when I do something he asks of me.  Oh, and plus I get a treat every time.  It's actually a pretty sweet deal!  Until next week... Hi, Felicia!

Hey hey hey! Well, this is my first week at my new place. It is a BIG difference from where I used to live. I met my trainer on the first day. He seems nice, but he keeps calling me Felicia. What does that mean? I respond to it to make him feel special, but also because he keeps feeding me! He has kept me in my kennel trying to get me used to my new home. I just want to be out and explore everything. I thought it would be bad at first with a new environment and all, but now I'm coming to really enjoy my time here (not to mention all the attention and treats!). Until next week...
