Regal Princess

Eva will be traveling to her new forever home soon and your heart will be filled with adoration as soon as you meet her! Her trainer said she’s the most beautiful brindle girl to come through the program and her adorable tail just adds to her cuteness.

Eva has progressed well in her training. She has learned all her basic commands and some extra commands, proving that she is a dog who is as intelligent as she is charming. She is calm dog, but can be playful at times. I am sure Eva will have no problem receiving all the love and affection you can lavish on her! Her trainer fell in love with her, the first time he laid eyes on her. She has been a joy to work with and a great friend to her trainer. He hopes she has the brightest future and he will miss her very much.

Soft Eyes, Warm Heart

Graduation is nearing and Eva is excited to meet her forever family. She has been working hard on her commands and has them pretty much mastered them. She is also doing better spending time in her kennel by herself, even though she prefers to hang out with her humans.

Eva’s trainer said she has been such a joy to work with and he’s sad his time with her is coming to an end, but happy to know she will be going to a loving forever family. Eva will light up your life. She’s the best!

Adoring Looks

It’s been a very productive week for Miss Eva!  Her inmate trainer says that she’s adjusting nicely to her new environment.   Her inmate trainer says that Eva is a very smart, loving girl who can give you the most adoring looks.  She’s playful at times but loves for people to hang out on the bed with her watching TV and giving her pets.  Running in the big yard with her hound friends is also super fun.

Eva prefers to be out and about with her human instead of in her kennel.  She likes to be in the know and available to receive any attention offered.  She’s doing great with all of her commands and is only slow to respond to “heel” and “kennel”.  Her trainer says he will continue to work with her on these helping her to see that it can be fun with yummy rewards.

Eva's Gonna Melt Your Heart

Eva is so smart! She nailed all her commands at “show your tail”. LOL Her trainers are working on verbal and hand signals to insure she knows them both well before graduation.

Eva was introduced to toys this week. She hasn’t quite figured out what they are for, but she’s catching on. She is still getting used to prison life, but is a sweet and loving girl that is sure to melt anyone’s heart.

Outgoing Gal

It’s week 4 already with sweet Eva!  This week her trainers worked with her duration and response time to the basic commands.  They also worked with her on jump and off.  This is a good command to use when getting Eva in and out of your vehicle.  Now that she has been introduced to all 13 of the basic commands, it’s down to perfecting them as well as working eye contact.

Eva is doing great.  She’s a very smart and outgoing hound.  You are going to have fun with Eva!

Star Student

Hello Eva fans! Week 3 already and Eva is such a blast to work with. This smart girl got to show off at show-and-tail this week, and of course Eva the diva nailed it. Even though she knows the commands, they still want to work on response time and duration.

They introduced her to the following commands this week - sit, stand, standing stay, bed, and a few others. She does them but they will still work on them so that she perfects them. A standing stay is where she is unhooked from her leash and told to stay, so that when you walk out of sight and come back, she won't have moved. They use this to do kennel cleaning or prepare food. Regarding feeding time, she is a fast eater, so they put a Y bone in her bowl on top of her food to slow her down. This is very helpful, as some greyhounds like to inhale their kibble!

When they practice bed, they put a bed down and point, say bed, and then she goes and lies down on it. She loves this one! She will stay on the bed until she is told to release, and she will stay even if you leave the room. She was also introduced to brushing her teeth and allows her trainer to do this with great ease. They're also working on her kennel time and introducing her to longer times being alone - so far, so good. She is such a great hound!

Eva The Diva

Hello Eva fans!  We are at week 2 already!  Eva is such a smart hound!  They had their first show and tell last week and Eva nailed her performance!!  What’s show and tell you ask?  It’s where the hounds and trainers show off their progress to the other trainers.

Eva’s kennel routine is a breeze now.  She comes out, waits until released and heels at her inmate trainer’s left side waiting for him to hook the leash.  When he says, “let’s go” she’s ready to move forward.   She does great when leash walking!  Her inmate trainer is very impressed with sweet Eva!
