Upside Down Girl

Yes, Dixie is in there with the cuddlepillar! This is her most common position. She can always be found upside down snoozing away - on a dog bed, in her kennel, basically anywhere. She isn’t shy about it! Gotta love that!

Dixie continues to thrive and continues to be an avid hunter in the backyard. She is determined to find every chipmunk and end his/her life then and there! She has even enlisted the assistance of one of our Greyhounds, Steve, who is usually by her side helping with the hunt. They are quite a pair - those two!

Dixie is still looking for her forever home. She knows there is a family out there who will enjoy her silliness, her hunting prowess, her loving self, and how much she adores her people! As mentioned before, she is quite the gem!!

Dixie has been here since mid December and wow, what a girl! She is truly sweet and loves people.

Her favorite pastime is hunting for chipmunks in our backyard and let me tell you she is the best hunter. She will dig them out if she thinks one is under something. She either sees them run there or she smells them. Either way, it is her goal in life to snub our the chipmunk population one at a time.

Her other favorite past time is roaching (see photo below). She sleeps upside down most of the time. Not always but she is happiest when she is roaching. Can’t blame her!

Dixie would thrive in an environment where she would have a large backyard and a home with maybe another Greyhound or a larger dog. She is not tolerant of small dogs or cats. And, again, she adores people!
