Spoiled?

Danny sure is one spoiled boy! He loves to have ice in his water bowl. In fact, he won’t drink any unless it does have ice! Everyone laughs at that - the way he turns his head when he finds just water in his bowl. They learned he loved ice in his water by happen chance. He had just come in from outside. He was offered a bowl of water and when his secondary trainer lowered the bowl, Danny turned his head.

In the seconds that followed, Danny heard a loud noise coming from the direction of Frankie’s kennel. Well, lo and behold, the sound was a primary trainer pouring ice into Frankie’s water bowl. Danny ran over there and shared the bowl with Frankie! It was too funny! After that Danny’s secondary replaced his water frequently with ice. He drinks alot of water now. Everyone jokes about it now.

He really is a great boy. His trainers cannot wait for his forever family to experience his greatness!

Retired, Retired, Retired

Danny’s inmate trainer says that Danny is an absolute delight! His inmate training team says that they all love working with him. He likes to have ice in his water, he’s bougie like that!  He likes to be around his peeps. He’ll lay beside you with happiness and contentment. He’s observant, but from a relaxing position. He’s not about getting all involved, he just likes to be in the know. He will run and play on occasion, but seems to take retirement pretty seriously.

Loved By All

Danny’s inmate trainer says they have had an entertaining week!  She says Danny is super funny, especially when it comes to food.  He likes his food with a little water and will lick his bowl clean.  He loves chicken, crackers, beef sticks, bananas, and apples.  He takes a quick sniff then you have his full attention.  She says he is a great dog who is loved by all.  He listens well and on the rare occasion she has to get firm with him he will not make the same mistake again.

This last week Danny learned “jump” and if treats are involved he will happily show off.  He’s highly treat motivated and will gladly follow through with requests.  His wonderful personality makes every day a little better.

Danny Is Such A Gentleman!

Oh Danny Boy!  He’s such a gentleman!  His inmate trainer describes him as cool, calm, and collected.  He ran in the yard with Ralph on Wednesday and they had a great time.  He loves to nest in his kennel.  Its amusing to watch him toss his pillows and blankets all over the place.  A lot of times he’ll lay in his kennel with the door wide open  His inmate trainer says that Danny is a gentle dog and is sensitive to correction.  He rarely makes the same mistake twice and learns quickly.  She says that she believes he is going to make his forever family very happy!

How I Love You...Let Me Count The Ways

Oh Danny Dan! How I love you….Let me count the ways. Danny loves his peeps and gets so excited to see them and he loves keeping them company. When his secondary cooks, Danny will stand in the middle of the floor and watch. He does not try to intrude. He is not pushy. He is cautious and gentle. His trainer feels he will be good with kids and older people. Despite his size, he is not rough. He is a gentle giant and boy does he loves the other greyhounds! He doesn’t mind his kennel and enjoys his big bed. If he hears any noise coming from the kitchen, you can bet he will be there in 10 seconds flat! Danny loves to eat and does not pass up a treat or a bite of whatever his peeps are eating. He loves bananas, apple and chicken.

Lay Your Head On My Shoulder

Oh Danny Boy! His trainer says he loves a good rub-down and treats. He likes apples and loves bananas. He also loves his person. Danny is not energetic. He is voted most likely to watch the toy fly up in the air and fall back to earth. You won’t find a more devoted companion. He will watch and wait while you make dinner and not even try to investigate. Danny is one devoted companion! He does his commands. “Heel” could use some work, but other than that, he is great. His forever family is going to love him so very much!

Danny’s trainer loves it when he lays his heard on her shoulder. He is the most loving pup and will follow his trainer anywhere! Everyone loves Ol’ Danny Boy!

Let's Just Chill

Good ol’ Danny boy! If you are looking for a pup who will follow you to the moon at a slow leisurely pace, look no further than Danny! He is such a great dog and his trainer is enjoying her time with him. This week he learned sit. He is still doing his other commands too. Danny learns very quickly and does not repeat the same mistake twice.

With cooler temperatures, Danny has been seen cuddling a blanket in his kennel. He loves attention from the inmates and staff. He is the calmest and most chill dog his trainer has seen. When he is out of his kennel, he likes to lay his head close to his peeps. Need a foot warmer? Danny has you covered. Need a hug? Danny loves to give them!

Oh Sweet Danny Boy

Danny is a certified Lover Boy! He could be in the middle of being petted and he will go to someone else who walks up, gets loving from them. Then he will come back to his previous person. Danny is gentle and calm. He does not get in a hurry and loves to simply chill on a bed. He loves to be out of his kennel a lot, but also loves to go in there to sleep.

Danny’s favorite toys are a rubber pig and rubber chicken. He is not rough on toys. He plays for a bit and is done. He seems to gravitate to the odd sounding squeakers. Those are his favorite. Danny is a joy and his forever family is going to love him.

Lover Boy

Danny is like the hound in “Fox and the Hound”. All he wants to do is lay around and follow his people everywhere they go. The couldn’t be more chill. The loudest sound he makes is a grunt when he lays down. He is so, so cool. He is really smart too. He has learned some of his commands already and he hasn’t even been there a whole week.

Danny plays a little bit, but mostly he would rather be petted. He is a big lover boy. He gets so excited when he sees his people and is content to stand there while he is being loved and adored. Danny does great with the other dogs and he has shown no signs of aggression. When another dog snaps at him, he retreats - either to his kennel or he turns his back on them.

Danny has an intense love for food. If his trainer or someone is eating, he is going to try and investigate. He hears bags rattling…paper…crinkle… His nose starts twitching!
