Siri the Energizer Greyhound

Do you want a dog who not only knows her commands but is also a blast to spend time with and play? Then look no further! Siri loves to play. Especially if you get some of those toys that make noise. You can get her attention with one toy and then toss it for her to go get it, then keep doing it over and over again after she comes back, trading squeaky toys for other squeaky toys. She will just run and run for it! A word of caution: this girl loves to party, so unless you tell her it's not playtime anymore, this energizer bunny will keep on truckin'. So just make sure she knows it is isn't party time anymore, and there will be plenty of time to clown around the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that...

This week was swap week, and Siri did an amazing job with her swap trainer and team. She does commands so easily and with no probles. During feeding tie, she goes through her commands and did such a good job. She is such a good girl, and so small! She may be tiny but she's full of energy and love. Wait until you see her in person, looking at you with her head sideways, waiting to see what adventure is coming next for her. It's so cute - you can't say these dogs don't have personality!

When she runs with other dogs, she has fun chasing them. She jumps around a lot and most of the other dogs ignore her antics, but some will take off running with her and give her a run for her money. If you wanna have some fun with Siri, get in front of her and take off running once she is looking at you. She will chase you and run right by your side, rooing. To her, life is all fun and games and love.

So much to do, so much to see

Siri is doing well this week! She did all of her commands for the secondary trainer and her primary trainer has been working on her staying in her kennel while the door is open. The temptation!

Siri is really a big fan of running - she would run to the edges of the universe if you let her! She can't wait to see what places there are to explore outside. Smash Mouth was right: so much to do, so much to see.

Siri has been doing great this week! She's still getting the hang of "stay," which is common in these sweet little velcro dogs. They just wanna be close to you! She worked some more on stairs and jump, and she's doing great with both. Siri really loves to drink water and she loves ice cubes. Make sure you have some trays ready when this sweet gal comes bounding into your home and your hearts!

Sweet Siri is doing good this week! She's been working on her commands as usual. She's learning jump and how to go up and down stairs. She's not real sure about what the heck these stairs are all about. Siri will jump and she does well with off, and she did great going up the stairs after practicing! It's just the coming down part that she's not sure about. With a little practice, she'll have it perfected. She is such a good learner, so tune in next week to find out if those long legs made it down a flight!

Another One Bites The Ice (ice cubes)

Siri is an outgoing greyhound that is full of life.  She is cute as can be!  For being a tiny girl, she loves to eat!  She is not a picky eater.  One of her favorite things to eat are ice cubes!  I bet when she gets to her new home, she will be sitting at the ice maker waiting for one to fall.  Who knows, she may figure out how to get them herself.  LOL

Siri isn't big into toys yet.  She will play with them a little bit and then she's on to something else.  Her trainer thinks her favorite thing to do is run.  She loves to run on the big yard chasing the other greyhounds... and boy is she fast!!

If you are looking for a cute little greyhound to be your next best friend;  Look no further because she will be gone before you can say Siri!

Secrets of the Houndiverse... Revealed!

Siri is a very gentle girl with big soulful brown eyes that will melt your heart and pierce your soul. Once you lock eyes with her, it's off to the astral plane where secrets of the universe are unlocked! She loves to run with other dogs and is so easygoing. She's starting to learn her commands and enjoys playing with toys, and she's showing progress with her trainer every day. Siri has a lot of life and a lot of love to give.

Centex Siri here checking in with all my fans.  I'm now called Siri for short.  I think that's a cute name, don't you?  Just like me.  I'm liking my new temporary home.  I wake up every morning wondering what the new day will bring.  It's always interesting around here;  new sights, sounds, smells, and all the things our inmate trainers are doing to get us ready for our forever homes.  I can't wait for that!  I hope my forever family is planning for my arrival with a comfy bed to rest my weary bones.  I am retired, and relaxing is what we Greyhounds do best.

This week I am learning "bed, "kennel", "stay", "here", "wait","hurry", "sit", "down".  He says I'm coming along nicely.  I don't mind sharing my food or bed with my trainer either.  After all, that's what friends are for.
