Squeaky Toy Shenanigans

Swap week!!! This week, one lucky trainer got to spend time with Miss Haley, and they had a blast! Despite the rain, they spent some quality time on the big yard getting their run on which is always fun. Haley loves to play and has lots of good, fun energy. She tires out like most greyhounds, but seems to be up for a fun session in the training room most of the time.

First they get their chores out of the way - the commands. They don't do any training during swap week, since the focus is maintaining the commands they already know and taking them from a new trainer, as well as testing for separation anxiety. Once she ran through them, it's squeaky toy time! She loves to play keep away and fetch - it's her most favorite activity.

The other reason we do swap week, to test for separation anxiety, is sort of a trial run for their big move to their forever home - with you! Haley had no problems there. She just goes with the flow. That's a good attitude to have! Miss Haley is gonna fit in no matter where she plops her sweet little peanut head.

Anything for a Treat!

Haley has had such a great week! She knows all of her basic commands, and it's great being able to administer those commands verbally with an immediate response. When she gets excited sometimes, you may have to use a treat to get her mind back on you. She is so loving that she is easily excited. She enjoys being around people and other dogs and is going to fit right into her new loving family. She really believes the whole world revolves around her but in a good way. She has shown no aggressive behavior toward anything. She is just so full of love and her trainer says that having the opportunity to train her has helped me immensely! And that's what this is all about - bringing joy, love and growth to everyone involved.

The Biggest Sweetheart

Haley has had a great week! She knows all of her basic commands and loves her training sessions. She is so smart and even makes it seem easy for her. She loves being around all the other dogs and people and just draws the attention of the whole room toward her. Everyone just loves this sweet girl's company.

Haley trains twice a day now and after each session she has time to go around and get all the loving she can. Anyone is able to give her commands and she will happily do them for treats or even just for attention. She is so wonderful and will be great for some lucky family. She has displayed no aggressive behavior toward anything or anyone and is always happy and in the mood to play, or even give comfort. She is truly an amazing dog!

You've got a friend in me!

Haley has had such a wonderful week. She now knows all of her basic commands, and all she has yet to achieve is to do them all on the first round. And this should be no problem for her, because she is just so smart and really enjoys her training sessions. She worked on stairs again this week and she had no problem with them. She is so lovable and enjoys being around everyone. Her trainer has found no examples of aggressive behavior towards anything. She does enjoy toys and her play time after each training session. She has been working on her attention span by playing the attention game. Now she even looks at her trainer while she is playing! It helps so much having her attention and seeing her give it to you.

Haley walks very well on her leash and is a healthy girl. She is so great, her trainer would keep her if he could! But she will make a great companion for anyone lucky enough to snag her! She has helped her trainer weather the problems of every day life and would be a source of strength and love for anyone looking for it in the form of a four-legged friend.

Genuine Sweetheart!

Haley has had a wonderful week.  She knows almost all of her commands and she is so smart she will have no problems having them all down pat by graduation day!  Haley loves being the center of attention.  She enjoys the company of both humans and dogs alike.  She's such a sweetheart and whoever adopts this girl will fall head over heels in love.

Haley has acclimated to her new home very well.  She enjoys playing with her toys and training for her treats.  She is going to be a great companion for any family.  She just loves everything and everyone!!

Laid Back Lady

Haley continues to do a great job with her commands!  She loves running in the big yard with her pals.  Playing with the ball is one of her favorite things to do!  It’s right up there with eating and sleeping!

Haley’s inmate trainer says that Haley calms easily after play and has a laid back personality.  She loves affection and her trainer says that watching her personality emerge has been a true joy!

Miss Popular

Haley is doing so well with her training. She gets along swimmingly with other dogs and with people. She is a total love bug and she loves to be at the center of everything. She is laid-back and she likes to play with toys just for a few minutes and then she's done, ready to doze and chill. She calms easily and loves to run and could run all day if you let her!

Haley can be a little bit picky with her food sometimes, but she will do about anything for it. She is getting along with her team great and they are loving this sweet girl more and more every day!

Can't Resist Ms. Haley!

Haley is doing really well!  She loves to run in the big yard and is catching on to her commands.  She gets along with everyone in the dorm and doesn’t seem to mind the loud radio the officers have.  She’s showing some interest in toys, but will only play for a short time before she’s over it and ready to lounge around.  Her inmate trainer says that she’s calms very easily after play time and loves food and attention.  She can get a little distracted when a lot of things are going on, but it’s important that she keeps up with current happenings around the pod.   It makes for good yard conversation with the other greys at play time.  Not that she’s a gossip mind you, so just go right ahead and remove that though of Mrs. Oleson out of your mind.  (Little House on the Prairie reference)

Haley’s inmate trainer says that he has no doubt she’ll capture the hearts of her new family in no time.  She’s a hard one not to fall for!

Happy-Go-Lucky Girl!

Haley is doing great being around new people.  She’s already learned “bed” and “down”.  Her inmate trainer says that Hailey is a loving happy-go-lucky girl.  She loves food and is all about relaxation.  She enjoys playing with toys and calms easily when it’s time to settle down.  She’s showing great progress with the “sit” command and enjoys attention as well as treats for a job well done.

Haley’s inmate trainer says that he can already tell that his time with Haley is going to be very rewarding.  She listens well and seems eager to please.
