Fun Times with Slider

Slider has learned all of his commands with ease and knows most all of them with hand signal and verbal ques! He’s still a little slow responding to jump, but they’re working on that one.

His inmate trainer says that he’s loving, smart and an all around great boy!  He gives love easily and will soak up all that you have to offer.  She says that he makes all of her days a little better.

Neck Rubs Please

This week Slider has been wonderful.  He is a great pup with so much personality.  He loves pets and especially his neck rubbed.  He wants all your attention.

Slider knows his commands and still does all of them when a treat comes out.  It’s the funniest thing. He loves to play with a Kong, even without anything in it.  He will play with it for hours.  Squeaky toys aren’t the best for him, as he will work at it until he gets the squeaker out.

Slider is a very happy dog and loves everyone.  Slider had a dog growl at him the other day and he turned around and went the other way.  He shows no signs of aggression at all.  He is the sweetest and will be missed.

Slider Always Has Time For Love and Pets

Slider is a very energetic pup!  He loves to play and have fun.  His inmate trainer says that sometimes in the mornings when he comes out of his crate he hops around happy to greet a brand new day.  Slider knows all of his commands and does a great job with them.  He seems mesmerized by rocks.  He’ll dig a rock out and if it bounces or rolls away he pounces of as to say Ah HA! Gotcha ya!

Slider is the kind of guy who loves everyone.  He’s always got time for loves and pets.  If you’ve got a treat he’s got time for commands too!

Breezing Through Commands

Slider is awesome!  If you have a treat in hand he’ll breeze through all of his commends in less than a minute as if to say…. See there, all done, and done well. Now give me the treat!  His inmate trainer says that Slider is so funny!  He wants every squeaker toy in the room.  His goal is to rip the little squeaker out and cast off the fluffy toy exterior. He loves pets and attention.  His inmate trainer says that you can’t help but feel happy with this sweet guy!

Spinning With Delight

Slider is coming along nicely. He’s adjusted to his temporary home at Pulaski. Slider is very sweet and knows his commands. He can be stubborn, but once you let him know who’s boss, he does just fine. Slider can be playful at times. When he gets excited, he will spin in circles. Just watching him makes you dizzy. LOL

Slider will do all his commands at once, when he sees a treat. His trainer said it’s the funniest thing, but very cute. His trainer has been putting water into Slider’s food. This helps to slow him down, as he tends to eat very fast. She also has him “down” before meals and she makes him “wait” before he’s let out of his kennel, otherwise he tries to run out. His trainer said he is doing great and she’s having fun training sweet Slider.

Happy Guy

Slider’s inmate says that he’s a pure joy to work with.  He does all 0f his commands!  He’s treat motivated so if you break out a treat he starts going through all of the commands before you can make a request.  He can eat his a meals a little to fast so adding a ball to his bowl will slow him down a bit.

Slider is a happy guy who is friendly with everyone.  He enjoys squeaky toys, but has a mission to de-squeaker the squashy little things.  He loves Kong toys and will play with them for a long time.  His inmate trainer says that Slider is just a happy dog who makes each day a little brighter.

Greyt Pup

Slider is doing good with his commands. He enjoys getting treats, so he is very motivated to do what you ask, thinking he’s getting a treat. Sometimes his trainer mixes it up and gives him praise instead of a treat.

Slider loves his toys and loves people. He does not whine or bark at all, even when he sees a cat. Slider is a great eater. He does seem to eat fast, so his trainer either adds water or puts a kong in the middle of his food to try and slow him down a bit. Slider is a great pup and adjusting well to everything.

Check Out The Birds

Slider is doing well. He’s adjusting and is comfortable enough to roach on his back. He likes to look out the window and when outside the birds are his distraction. Slider knows sit, down, here and they are working on stay. He’s a smart boy and very treat motivated. His trainer knows he’ll have all his commands mastered in no time. Slider can be stubborn and just look at his trainer when she gives a command, but she will fold her arms and stare right back and he will follow through, knowing she means business. LOL

Slider gets along with all the other dogs and loves a good petting and rub by anybody. As for toys, he loves toys, but needs hard chew toys. If it squeaks, it will no more once Slider gets a hold of it. He takes the squeaker out, so crinkly toys and hard chew toys would be best for Slider.

Well-Mannered Boy

Slider is adapting and getting used to his surroundings. He’s coming out of his shell more every day and is getting more playful.

Slider knows sit, here and down. He does get easily distracted and can be stubborn at times, but he’s a very sweet dog. He is a well-mannered boy. He is crate trained and does not whine at all while he’s in there. His trainer said, as with all her fur-babies, Slider will be well-trained, loved and well taken care of. Check back next week for more updates on Slider’s accomplishments.
