Here we are at the end of 10 weeks of training and the moment Lilly’s forever family has been waiting for. Her trainer said it has been a blast working with sweet Miss Lilly! She is so smart and knows all of her commands. She has her moments when she tries to test her trainer, but she will follow through. She’s a good girl and so full of love! She is going to bring smiles to her forever family’s faces. Have the kibble and treats ready. Lilly is coming home!!
Lilly hung out with an alternate inmate training team this week. Her alternate trainer said that Lilly was a real treat to be around. She’s a ball of happy energy and loves to socialize. She makes playtime seem like the greatest joy known to a greyhound! She perks her ears up at the slightest sound and is one of the most curious hounds her inmate trainer has ever seen.

Here we are at week eight! Lilly is doing awesome and she knows all of her commands. This week, she focused on duration and of course she nailed it. What we mean by duration is when you put the dogs in a stay, bed, or wait command, they hold the command until they are released. This way you can get to do certain things such as get her food out and put it where you want it before it gets gobbled up, or put them on the bed while you clean or vacuum. She will stay on the bed even if you call her name! You have to stay here or released to bring her to you. Lilly is so much fun and you were going to enjoy her so much!
Time flies when you’re having fun and that’s an understatement with Lilly. She is a blast! She is doing great with her commands. She loves to have play time with her toys, tossing them up in the air. It’s one of the highlights of her day. It was extra play time time week for Lilly as she celebrated her 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday Lilly!!
Lilly also enjoys her training time. She has pretty much mastered her commands, so they are working on perfecting them for graduation. Lilly loves to look at you with those big brown eyes like, “What’s next?” You are going to just love, love, love Lilly!!!
Lilly’s inmate trainer says it’s hard to believe it’s week six already. Lily is doing great! She was the only hound to get all 10s at the last Show and Tell! Her inmate trainer says being proud is an understatement! Her trainer says that seeing all the hard work pay off, is a huge reward for the humans too!
Lilly is an energetic girl who is full of joy. When she gets to Show and Tell or a training session she’s as calm as can be. When she gets out of her kennel she’s filled with happiness. Her inmate trainer says that she’s the light of their team.
Lilly’s inmate trainer says that Lilly is a wonderful girl and he enjoys spending time with her. They’ve had a great week and Lilly has exceeded her trainer’s expectations! She knows all of her commands well and most with both hand signal and verbal cues! The only one she hesitates on is “heel,” but her inmate trainer says that he has confidence that Lilly will have this one down pat soon.
Lilly is full of energy and takes joy with her wherever she goes. She continues to show more of her true personality every day. Her trainer says that this girl will change your life immediately and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her.
Lilly has had another great week here at Second Chance. Her trainer has had lots of success teaching her the basic commands. Lilly is very special - her trainer continues to see more of her personality emerge the more time he spends with her. Joy is how he likes to explain who and how she is. He enjoys her company and she enjoys his; he also continues to see her grow and be more sure of herself when being around others. He introduced her to toys and at first there was an issue with her grabbing the toys. They worked very hard and fixed the issue and now she gladly gives them up when asked!
Her trainer knows that this wonderful hound will be very prepared for when the time comes to go to her new forever home. Lilly is a bit attached to her trainer and notices when he's been gone. She’s a Velcro kind of girl. Lilly is a great, sweet, loyal hound and you're going to fall in love with her lickety split!
Lilly’s inmate trainer says that Lilly is a wonderful companion. She’s very intelligent and loves toys. Her inmate trainer has found that toys are a great motivational tool for sweet Lilly. She’s an active girl who enjoys being in the company of others; dogs and humans!
Lilly is a loving girl and seems to bond easily with her human. She’s doing well with her commands and her inmate trainer says that she’s very proud of this sweet girl. She says that she believes that Lilly will bring lots of happiness into her new forever home!
This week has been a great one with this wonderful pooch! Lilly is very intelligent and full of energy. This hound craves so much attention – and very much deserves it! She is so quick to learn her commands. Her trainer has learned that with Lilly, the reward for her is the attention and affection she wants. She is such a great dog and won’t disappoint the lucky family who will get her. Lilly is sweet, outgoing and loves to play with other dogs. She truly enjoys the company of her fellow greyhounds. Her trainer is looking forward to being able to work more with her over the coming weeks and see what else she is capable of learning. Whenever you get this lovable hound, you better be prepared for an exponential increase of joy in your life!
This has been an interesting week with Miss Lilly! She is a very energetic hound who loves attention. This girl has the most friendly vibe among her classmates; she is adorable and has very distinctive facial features (including her bottom tusks that peek out of her mouth!). Her trainer has found that she is very eager to please others, and is smart as a whip. He is looking forward to working with Lilly more so that he can learn all about this stellar gal and tell you all about her!
