Super Cool Greyhound

Boston is a super cool greyhound!  He loves squeaky toys the most, and gets very excited during play time.  If you need to calm him down during play, make him "sit" or "down".  He's a fun boy to have around.

Boston graduated and knows all of his basic commands and an extra "Paws up".  He will put his paws up in a chair when asked.  He has learned so much in just the short amount of time he has been at the prison, and now he's ready to show you.

This week Boston and his trainer will fine-tune his commands and just chill.  His inmate trainer will miss this boy.  Boston will be a great addition to his forever family.

Wanted...Sweet and Loving Family

Boston knows all of his commands and is learning some extras like "paws up", "shake" and "spin".  He's a smart boy, so should know them well before graduation next week.

Boston definitely loves his squeaky toys.  There's no doubt about that!  His trainer has been working with Boston with his toy addiction.  He does not get a toy unless his inmate trainer gives it to him.  You have to show him you are the pack leader.

Next week is graduation and Boston's inmate trainer hopes he finds his forever home.  He deserves a sweet and loving family, just like him.

Greyt Guy

Hello, my name is Boston and I'm a beautiful black greyhound that is friendly and outgoing and ready to race into your heart and home.

It's been a busy week for me so far here at the prison, and I haven't been here as long as the other greys, but they are showing me the ropes.  I'm starting to get the hang of things and learn the routine. There are so many people, which is good.  All the more to give me love.  Who doesn't enjoy a good ear scratching or belly rub.

Did I tell you I love squeaky toys?  I mean I love them so much it's all I think about.  I could play with them all day if my trainer would let me.  I sometimes want to grab the toy from my trainer.  He doesn't like that much, so he wants me to sit before he gives me one.  I guess I can do that, if it makes him happy.  It definitely makes me happy when he gives me the toy.  It's a win for both of us.  I sure hope my forever home has room full of toys that squeak.  You can never have to many of them, you know.

My inmate trainer says I will be ready for graduation in a few weeks, and after that my forever home.  I can't wait to show you what a greyt guy I am!

Crazy over Squeaky Toys

Boston is doing great and already knows all of his basic commands.  He is a little slow on "down", but his inmate trainer is going to work diligently this week on this command.  His trainer is also going to work on response time with his basic commands over the next few weeks also.

Boston goes bonkers over squeaky toys!  He is fun to play with and would play all day with them, if you let him.  He will jump up on you and try and take the toy out of your hand, so his inmate trainer will have him "sit" or "down"  before he gives him the toy.  After he has earned the toy, his trainer will let him play with it a bit and then have him "drop" the toy.  This helps show him you are the pack leader and he can't play with the toy unless you give it to him.

Boston is a sweet boy that will be a great addition to any family that are looking to add to their pack.

Mr. Curious

Boston is curious about everything!  He’s a smart guy and has already learned: heel, here, bed, wait, and kennel.  He walks great on the leash and is well behaved around other dogs and people. He loves squeaky toys and eating!  Mealtime is his favorite time of the day!  He tends to eat fast so putting a chew toy or ball in his food bowl helps to slow him down.

Boston’s inmate trainer says that mealtime is one of the best times to train because he’s not released to his meal until he follows through with a command.

New Guy on the Block

Since Boston only arrived a few days ago, his inmate trainer has been working to bond with him and gain his trust before starting training.  So far he is walking great on the leash and is very well behaved.  He is learning about toys and how to enjoy them.

It's all play now but next week, training will being.  Watch out Boston!  You have much to learn in a short time period but we all know you will do great!
