Lil Coop is perfectly content to just lie around and be petted alllll the live long day. She has been coming out of her shell more and more each day and it has been a joy to watch.

A Ton Of Love To Give

Little Coop is as sweet as always!  This week she did very well during testing. She enjoys the company of other dogs. Whenever another greyhound comes her way, her tail starts wagging and she gets excited.  Little Coop is getting lots of love and attention and her trainers are going to miss this sweet girl A LOT.  She may be little, but she’s got a ton of love to give!  Who says great things don’t come in small packages? Little Coop is proof of that.

Eager To Please

Tiny Coop is doing great with her commands!  Her inmate trainer says that she’s a very loving dog and works hard, to please her human. She loves to be loved on.  Food, treats, and toys are also at the top of her list. She calms easily after playing and gets along with all the other greys and humans.

Her inmate trainer says that he can’t wit to see what Coop will do in the coming weeks.

Brilliant Gal

It’s been an exciting week for Coop!  She’s learned the “down” command in about five minutes!  She’s one smart girl!  Her inmate trainer is working with her to clean up her response time a bit, but is amazed with this girl’s brilliance.  She sits and stays for her meal times.

Coop’s inmate trainer says that she’s always sweet and happy.  You can’t help but  feel joy when you’re around her.  Having a bad day?  Just spend some time with Coop!  She a ray of sunshine on four legs!

Improving Every Day

It’s a whole new week for Coop!  Her inmate trainer says that as he writes this blog Coop is lying on his leg enjoying a head rub every few minutes.

He says that Tiny Coop is doing much better on all of her commands.  She sits all on her own and at feeding time she Sits and Stays, waiting patiently to be released.  Her inmate trainer says Coop is a true joy!  He can’t wait to see what next week has in store!

Gentle, sweet girl

Tiny Coop has been in the program for a few weeks now and is catching on to her new routine.  Her inmate trainer has been working with her at feeding times teaching heel and stay.  He believes that as she becomes more comfortable she’s gain confidence and she’ll be eating treats… err, learning new commands like a pro!

Tiny Coop got to play in the small yard with another dog and she really enjoyed herself.  She got excited but was very gentle.  Her trainer says he can’t wait to see what the days ahead hold for this sweet girl.

Just Chillin'

So we’ve made it through another week with Little Coop and she’s getting better and better every day with her commands. She’s learning “sit”, “wait”, “stay” and let’s go”. She’s a super laid back and calm girl that can melt your heart with just one look.

Little Coop doesn’t mind getting her teeth brushed and loves to be petted and loved on. She stands perfectly still when you are petting her, until you stop. Then she walks up to you to keep going. Little Coop is a very sweet girl and whoever adopts her is in for a real treat!

Cutie Patootie

Tiny Coop has arrived! Her inmate trainer says that she was a little shy at first and didn’t like the idea of walking on shiny floors.  She did well at bath time and seemed to walk away with a bit more confidence.   She loves attention and is doing much better walking on the shiny floors after a couple days. Slow and steady…

She’s not too crazy about the idea of taking treats from your hand just yet.   Her inmate trainer says that as soon as she starts trusting a little more she’ll be gobbling up the treats.   For now he lays them on the floor for her so she’s still getting positive rewards.  It’s only the first week and everything is so different at the prison than what she was used to at the track. He’s looking forward to watching Tiny Coop grow and emerge from her shell.
