Sweet Loving Guy

Beau has shown out this week!  He’s now sitting on command in the busy areas full of distractions!  He participated in the Christmas parade.  He was curious about some things and a little hesitant when the music and rolling carts caused it to get a little loud, but other than that he did great! He is wagging his tail and playing a lot more these days.  He’s gained a lot of confidence and has become more curious.  His inmate trainer says that she nurtures his curiosity by allowing him to investigate.

Very Proud Of Beau's Progress

Beau and his trainer worked on his outside manners, such as leash walking, heel and walking next to his trainer instead of ahead of her. He also wanted to play outside on his leash. She is happy with his progress! She said it is refreshing to see him let loose and become lovable Beau.

Beau is wagging his tail a lot more during the day and is wanting to investigate things unfamiliar to him. He is a really sweet boy and his trainer is very proud of him and believes if he can overcome living in the prison he will do wonderful in his forever home. He will need time and patience to adjust. Give Beau a chance and he will steal your heart.

Mesmerizing Eyes

The last 3 weeks Beau’s trainer has been working on building his confidence and watching him adapt to his environment. He does not like loud noises or large crowds of people. He loves Mellie, Jazzy, Heidi and their trainers. He is walking up to people he sees often in the hall. He is coming out of his shell more and more each day. His trainer is very proud of how far he has come so far.

Beau is doing good with his commands. He knows most of them very well. He is working hard on “here” and “sit”. He is a little slow to respond, but does know them. He is wagging his tail more. Beau wins everyone over with his eyes.

Gaining Confidence

Guess who’s gaining confidence?  Beau!  His inmate trainer says that Beau is coming out of his shell!  He’s exploring his surroundings and standing a little taller these days.  He’s walking up to people asking for a bit of attention and is doing his commands really well!  He gets a little distracted in the busy hallway so his inmate trainer is going to focus on doing some training in the busy area.  His inmate trainer believes that with time he’ll be doing commands in the hallway like a champ!

Learning The Ropes

Beau has spent his first week in the prison program getting to know his inmate trainer and adjusting to his new environment.  He’s a little unsure of the loud noises, but is curious and starting to investigate his new digs.  He enjoys time in his kennel and HE does really well with the “here” command.  He already knows, “let’s go,” “hurry,” “wait,” “release,” and “leave it”.  His inmate trainer says that she’s very happy with his progress and is working to build his confidence daily.  She can’t wait to see what this sweet boy learns next!
