Here Comes Spot!

Spot has come a long way from when he first arrived.  He knows he commands with both verbal and hand signal cues.  His inmate trainer says that she is so proud of this sweet boy!  She says that if he ever forgets his manners when it comes to sharing toys, he does really well with correction.  His inmate trainer says that he’s a normal “kid” who gets caught up in his toy and doesn’t want to share.  A reminder that it’s fun to share, puts him back on track.  When doing his nails he may pull his paw back a bit, so a little peanut butter in a muzzle might be the trick to keep him occupied while he gets his pawdicure.  It’s like striking a deal or negotiating!  She believes he’s going to make some lucky family very happy!

Spot Is A Lover

Spot is doing much better on the floors this week. He still has his moments where he wants to walk on his nails. He is such a sweet boy and a lover. He enjoys being around people and loves to be loved on.

Spot is doing very well with all his commands. It’s very cute watching him “roll over”. That’s one of his extra commands he knows. He can “bounce”, do “paws up and “shake”. His trainer said Spot has helped her through some rough times. Dogs give us unconditional love.

Spot's A Greyt Boy!

Spot’s inmate trainer says that Spot is a great boy!  He knows all of his basic commands and is working on some extras.  He’s currently working on “shake” and making great progress at figuring it all out.  He already knows roll over, paws up, show me love and kiss.

He recently slipped on the shiny floors so now he’ walking cautiously, trying to avoid another sliding adventure.  His inmate trainer says he’s starting to relax again, and she believes he’ll find his comfort soon.  She’s looking forward to seeing him strutting around with carefree confidence again.

"Roll Over"

Spot has come a long way! He knows all his commands with verbal cues and quite a few with hand signals. He also knows “roll over”, “paws up” and “shake”. His trainer keeps going over his commands and working on his response time. He can be slow to follow through. He’s a sweet boy that likes to keep any eye on his trainer. All in all Spot is doing very well.

Making Leaps & Bounds

Spot has made leaps and bounds this week. He knows all his commands and some with hand signals as well. His favorite treat of choice is peanut butter.

Spot likes to be able to see when in his crate. If he starts to whine or bark, his trainer will either say “quiet” or “hush” and he will lay back down. He is doing so much better.

Spot is a great dog. He is a very loving boy and loves being around his human. He is going to make a wonderful addition to his forever family.

Good Listener

Spot has come a long way!  He knows his name and is getting better every day with all of his commands.  He’s doing great with leash walking and running and playing outside on the field.  He wants to say hi to everyone and if he’s in his crate and he hears someone, he gets excited about the possibility of someone showing him some attention.  His inmate trainer says that Spot is a great dog who listens really well, but can be a little stubborn at times.  He’s figuring out his commands with both verbal and hand signal cues.  His inmate trainer says that she’s having a great time with this sweet boy!

Making Progress

Spot is doing really well with his crate training!  His inmate trainer is helping with “sit”.  He’s catching on really well!  He’s doing great with “hurry,” “wait,” “stay,” and bed”!  His trainer says that Spot is not only cute he’s sweet and enjoys attention.  He doesn’t seem to mind the treat reward offered during his training sessions (LOL).  His inmate trainer says that she’s looking forward to seeing the progress he makes in the coming days.

Smart Boy

Spot has been working on his crate training this week.  He’d much rather be out and about in the mix of things, but he’s learning it is not too bad.  He’s doing really well with his basic commands.  He loves to play, so his inmate trainer says that it’s pretty easy making the training sessions fun for this sweet boy.  They are working on sharing toys as they play to show him how much fun that can be too!  He enjoys bouncing and playing in the yard.  He’s already learning a few extra commands like: kiss, paws up, and spin.  He’s so smart that he’s catching on to verbal and hand signal cues!  His inmate trainer says that she can’t wait to see what he figures out  next!

Easy Going Guy

Spot is a pretty easy going guy!  He loves to play with squeaky toys and balls! He enjoys playing with the other dogs and prefers to be out of the kennel mixing it up with his friends.  He’s eating really well, but doesn’t seem to be treat motivated yet.  His inmate trainer says that he’s very observant of his surroundings.  As far as training goes, they’ve been working on: hurry, let’s go, release, wait, stay and bed.  They’ll continue to add more commands and reinforce the ones he’s doing really good with.  His inmate trainer says that she’s enjoying her time with this sweet guy!
