Cuddle Bug

Swap week was fun with Precious! Her swap week trainer said one second she is a loving cuddle bug, the next she is a bouncy, energetic hound. She loves her toys and to play, but at the same time will do a command when asked.

Precious’ swap week trainer worked on her leash manners. A simple “easy” would let her know to walk by her side. Precious is a little grabby when taking treats, so they also worked on that. A firm no and easy helped with this also. She is a sweet girl and her swap week trainer feels Precious will make her forever family very happy. She definitely keeps her trainers laughing.

Happiness Follows Precious

Precious is so smart it’s ridiculous!  She can have a stubborn side from time to time, but can’t we all!  Her inmate trainer says that Precious is sweet, loving, and a ton of fun!  She’s has a playful side that’s a true joy to watch.  She runs in the yard with the big boys and matches them stride for stride!  She loves food and eats like she’ll never see kibble again.  Her inmate trainer says that Precious is a joy to be around and seems to take happiness with her wherever she goes.

Running Like The Wind

Precious is doing great! More and more of her personality comes out each and every day. When it comes down to food and treats, she acts as though she’s starving, but her trainer’s know different. LOL

Things with Precious are starting to pull together. Her trainers are reinforcing all her basic commands. She knows most of them well. They are helping her improve on heel, stay, jump and leave it.

Precious found her running buddy. She was not much of a runner, but if she’s off leash with Murphy, they run like the wind!

Cutie Pie!

This week began just as great as the last week ended. Precious continues to make strides in the right direction as far as training and behavior go. She knows almost all of her basic commands well. She needs to improve on Heel and Jump, but has time to master these before graduation. Precious has learned a couple extra commands too. (shake and bow) She’s such a cutie pie and she knows it.

Sailing Through The Commands

Precious is sailing right through her commands and learning more every day.  She’s a little reluctant to perform “heel” but she’s warming up to the idea.  Stay, Jump, and Leave It are commands that she’s a little slower responding to, but she’s getting the hang of those.

Her inmate trainer says that Precious is running and playing more!  She likes hanging out in her kennel and doesn’t mind the sides being down and in the dark for quiet time.  She’s always open for affection from anyone who is willing to dish it out.

A Greyt Week!

Precious has made the absolute most of this past week!  At the beginning of the week the only things that really interested her were sleep and food.  She didn’t want to run outside at all.  Her inmate trainer says that no matter how they worked with her, she didn’t want to sit, down or bow.    Now she’s much more active and her love for squeaky toys has turned into a full-fledged obsession!

Precious is now sitting and performing down with the best of them!  She’s in the process of mastering bow and it’s coming along nicely!

Retirement Is Serious Business

Precious’ inmate trainer says that Precious reminds them every day that she’s retired.  It’s serious business.  She loves to sleep!  She’s adjusted well to her new environment.  She enjoys watching everything going on around her… from her bed.

They worked on stairs this week and Precious wasn’t so sure she was onboard with the whole idea.  Good news is that she’s been doing the stairs without issue for the last two days! Her inmate trainer says that Precious is a great dog with an easy-going temperament.

A "Precious" Pup

Precious is doing well with training. Her inmate trainer says they’re taking everything one step at a time which is working really well. Precious is an energetic girl who loves to watch everything. If she’s in a high traffic area she’ll get distracted, so they train for a few mins at a time to keep it fun and interesting. So far she knows Hurry, Let’s Go, Here and Jump well. She’s one smart cookie!
