Final Days

It’s the final week of training and Suri’s inmate trainer is proud to report that she is graduation ready!  This week Suri has been very happy and loving.  She’s doing a good job with her commands and has come a long way since her arrival ten weeks ago.  She works well with both her primary trainer and her secondary trainer.  They both enjoy seeing Suri get excited when it’s time to play outside!

Her inmate trainer says that Suri is a wonderful dog.  He has enjoyed his time working with her and will miss her when she leaves to join her new forever family.

Graduation Is Coming

Suri’s inmate trainer says that it’s nice to have this sweet little lady back.  He says that she is still shy, but has come out of shell and enjoys running and playing with the other dogs.  The loud noises bother her and she’ll head for the safety of her kennel when she hears them.  Outside she’s a different dog showing her energetic and outgoing side.

Her inmate trainer says it’s hard to believe that he only has ten more days with her before she leaves for her forever home.  He’s going to miss this sweet girl but knows she’s going to make someone very happy.

A Loving Beauty

Suri spent the week with an alternate inmate handler.  She was shy at first in the new surroundings with new people, but became more comfortable and confident as the week progressed.  Her alternate handler said that it was a great experience for both himself and Suri. He feels that they both made tremendous progress during swap week!  Suri was able to experience new things and gain confidence while her alternate handler learned how to help her feel safe and comfortable.  He says that Suri is a great girl and he believes that once out of the loud prison environment her personality will really shine through.

Tail Wagging Happiness

Suri is gaining confidence and starting to show her playful side!  When she sees her inmate trainer she gets excited and wags her tail while pawing at the gate eager for attention!  She is doing much better with her commands performing hurry, let’s go, kennel, wait, heel, sit, down, bed, and jump with ease.  She is still a little slow to respond to release, here, and stay but her inmate trainer will continue to work with her to improve response times.

Suri is a shy girl, but her inmate trainer has no doubt that this loving girl is going to make a wonderful addition to a very lucky family.

Sweetheart

Her inmate trainer has been working with her on the call back command, sit and stay.  She gets distracted around a lot of people, but her inmate trainer is working to keep her focus.  Suri is not a barker and loves to lay on the new beds and watch people go by.

Suri is a sweet girl who enjoys attention. Her inmate trainer is proud of the progress Suri is making and is looking forward to the training days to come!

Making Progress

Suri is making progress!  Her inmate trainer has been working with her on the call back and down commands.  She also knows "bow," "release," "wait," "heel," and "sit" with a hand signal and verbal commands!  She is still unsure of large crowds, but her inmate trainer is working to build her confidence.

Suri is a smart and loving girl and her trainer believes that she will excel in life outside of the loud prison environment.  He is enjoying his time with this beautiful sweetheart.

Sweet and Gentle

Hi, I'm Suri.  I'm working with my inmate trainer to learn new tricks.  I'm not fond of large crowds of people, but I don't mind working one on one with my trainer.  He is teaching me that crowds are okay, but I'm still thinking about it.  I'm a sweet and gentle girl so the loud crowd seems disruptive to my peaceful way of thinking.  Why can't these dudes mellow out a bit and enjoy peaceful side of life?  Sigh, humans.

This week my inmate trainer and I worked on stairs along with sit, down, and recall.  I'm getting the hang of these commands pretty well!

Toys and Training

Guess who played with toys this week??  Suri!! Her inmate trainer is happy to report that she is adjusting to her new surroundings.  While she's still not crazy about all of the loud noises she is successfully tackling her training!  Her inmate trainer says that Suri is learning fast and is responding let's go, kennel, heel, sit and bed really well.  They're working on jump, release, down and stay  and he knows that Suri will catch on to these commands soon!

Her inmate trainer says that Suri is a very loving dog who is drawn to big soft pillows!  He believes that her new family will love her gentle and calm nature.

Calm and Easy Going

Suri is a very smart girl who is learning her commands quickly!  She knows kennel, wait, heel, let's go and bed really well!  She's improving everyday and will soon have release, here, and sit, licked... errr down pat. She loves to play with the other Greys, but hasn't shown any interest in toys yet.  She loves to lay on big fluffy pillows! (This is what retirement is all about, right?)  Her inmate trainer says that she is not crazy about loud noises and large crowds, but this may change as she becomes adjusted to this new environment.

Suri is a calm easy going girl who will steal your heart.  Her inmate trainer believes that she is going to make a wonderful companion!

Training Time Is Here

Suri is a smart, loving and calm girl.  She has spent the last few days bonding with her inmate trainer and adjusting to prison life.  She's not crazy about the loud noises at the compound, but her trainer believes that she will adjust soon.

Her inmate trainer has been working with her on wait, hurry, let's go, kennel, bed, wait, heel and sit.  She's a little slow to respond, but it's only been a few days.  Her inmate trainer is looking forward to watching Suri grow and learn.  He says that this gentle easy going girl will steal your heart.
