Amazing Boy!

Roscoe’s inmate trainer says that Roscoe is the best dog ever!  She says that his personality will melt your heart.  He’s loving and affectionate.  He loves to meet new people and is very attentive to his human.  She says he’s the perfect mixture of playful, relaxed and chill.

Roscoe smiles on command and it’ll steal your heart – and make you giggle a little.  Roscoe is a dorm favorite and will be missed by everyone.  He’ll play with all toys except balls.  There’s just something scary about a ball.

He’s a treat motived boy and will run through all of his commands for a taste of the good stuff.  She says she’s had a wonderful time training this amazing boy!

"Smile"

Roscoe is a happy, playful bouncy pup. He does like to relax and chill, so he is an all around greyt dog. He is very attentive to his human and likes to be right by their side wherever they go. He does amazing in his kennel, but will give you those puppy dog eyes, like “Hey. Are you going to let me out?”

Roscoes favorite snack is banana and peanut butter in a Kong. Roscoe is super smart and a quick learner. He knows all of his basic commands and will run through them for a piece of kibble. He also knows a long list of tricks and learned a new one this week. He can “smile” on command. It’s the cutest and funniest thing ever.

Roscoe gets so excited meeting new people. He loves the staff and they love him. His trainer said she is truly going to miss him. He lifts her spirits every day. He makes her smile. Roscoe will melt your heart!

Happiness On 4 Legs!

What a fun mess Roscoe is!  His inmate trainer says he’s happiness on 4 legs!  She says you can’t help but smile when you’re around this guy.  He’s loving, bouncy, and an attention hound.  He has his schedule down pat and knows all of his commands.  His trainer can call him from across the dorm and he’ll come over and get right in his kennel.  He loves relaxing and takes retirement pretty seriously.  He’s not a huge fan of really loud noises.  These interruptions really cut into his relaxation.

Rolling balls are pretty scary.  If he see’s one, he aims to go in the other direction as quickly as possible.  Maybe he’s afraid someone will want him to fetch it or something?  He loves squeaky toys and will play until it’s nap time.

His inmate trainer says that Roscoe has amazing eyes… they’ll melt your heart and talk you outta treats before you’ve even realized you’ve handed them over.

If he meets a new human he might be a little slower to welcome them into his area.  He just wants to make sure they’re on the up and up.  He warms up pretty quickly, but he’d rather be standing when meeting them versus laying down.

Every now and then he’ll whine if he doesn’t want to do something that’s been requested.  You can almost hear the… Awwww Mom do I have to?  Bless it… He’ll try to work you with his eyes and if that doesn’t work he’ll give in.  He also smiles at people he’s really fond of.  It’s the cutest thing ever!

Playful, Happy Boy

Roscoe is a playful boy!  His inmate trainer says that he keeps her smiling every day.  He loves playing with toys and enjoys tug-o-war.  They’ve been working on bed sharing with other dogs and he’s doing good.  He prefers to get in the bed with the other dog, not the other dog getting on the bed with him.

If he’s sleeping really hard, he gets a little startled if he’s woken up abruptly.  His inmate trainer says he’s only done this twice, but it’s always best to make noise and make sure any dog is awake before making contact.

Roscoe is a smart boy who loves treats.  When he comes out of his crate in the morning he smiles with happiness.  He’s afraid of balls.  He’ll run from them as if he’s in fear for his life.  He loves to trot around outside off leash.  He may run every once in a while, but a good trot does him good.

He knows all of his commands, but his inmate trainer plans to continue to do run throughs to keep him sharp.

Pesky Fly = Ninja Mode for Roscoe

Roscoe is a very funny boy who loves a brand new day!  He loves attention and will greet everyone with happiness!   He’s very treat motivated which helps with training.  He’s doing great with “say your prayers” and looks absolutely adorable while doing it.   His inmate trainer had noticed that he has a bit of sleep startle which just means he’s a little grumpy when woken abruptly.  (aren’t we all?!)  Make noise, speak to him or toss a treat at him when you want him to wake up so it’s not a startling experience for him.

He finally ran a full lap outside this week.  One… he ran one full lap before he decided he was over it – done- ready for rest and relaxation.

So let’s talk about his ninja side… he’ll swing into ninja mode in two seconds flat when he sees a pesky fly around.  It’s like watching Daniel Son trying to catch one with chopsticks during his training with Mr. Miyagi (Karate Kid reference LOL).

So the plans for the next few days are to work on leash walking.  Inside he’d much rather explore on his own then have to have his trainer showing him around.  He knows all of his commands very well and knows many of them with both hand signal and verbal cues!

Adorable Goofball

Roscoe’s inmate trainer says that Roscoe is such a fun boy!  He loves attention and treats!  He gets super happy in the mornings after he eats.  After breakfast he loves to go around to everyone that’s up and get loves and attention.  He enjoys being by his trainers’ side and loves playing with toys especially if they squeak!   He’s adjusted to his new schedule like a charm and knows all of his commands very well.  At times he has a playful personality, but also has a very laid-back easy-going side.  His inmate trainer says that he’s an adorable goofball.

Roscoe hasn’t met a stranger yet.  If it’s someone new, he introduces himself knowing he’s irresistible. This week they plan to work a little more on “stay.”  This command has been a little more difficult for him because he wants to be wherever his trainer is at.

One Smart Cookie!

Roscoe is an amazing dog. His trainer loves his personality and playfulness. it will melt your heart. He loves playing with toys, especially if they squeak. He is more playful in the mornings.

Roscoe knows all his basic commands, but needs more work with heel and stay. He is very treat motivated, so his list of extras keeps growing. He knows kiss, bow, show me love, shake, high five, bounce, bang bang, say your prayers, spin, beg and paws up. Whew! That’s quite the list.

When Roscoe is outside he would rather stay right by his trainer than play with the other dogs. He loves to go anywhere is trainer is. He likes to keep an eye on his trainer.

Roscoe loves to chill in the room when it’s time to relax. He does great in the kennel. He loves to curl up beside his trainer on his big bed with his head on a pillow.

Fun-Loving Spirit

Roscoe is a sweet boy with a fun-loving spirit!  His inmate trainer says that he’s a joy to train.  She says that it’s an honor to train this sweet boy and she’s grateful for the experience.

Training is progressing nicely!  He knows all of his commands well!  He can be a little slow with stay, but let’s be honest… this world is full of exciting and wonderful things!  He knows all of his extras very well.  Go ahead and ask him to shake, kiss, beg, speak, spin, bounce, high 5, hug, or show me love and he’ll happily show off his skills.  They are currently working on say your prayers.  He’s gonna look soooo cute performing this one!

Silly Pup

Roscoe’s inmate trainer says that Roscoe is the sweetest and silliest pup ever!  He’s not only treat motivated, but praise motivated as well.  All he wants is to please his human and to receive and give love.  She says that Roscoe brings joy to everyone he meets!

Roscoe is doing really well with kennel training, leash walking, and recall.  He performs all of his basic commands with ease and is a quick learner!  They are moving on to some tricks with praise only rewards.

Prancing Around With A Smile On His Face

Roscoe prances around with a smile on his face as if he’s on top of the world.  He’s loving and very friendly.  It’s early yet with lots of things to investigate and explore, so being in the kennel is not at the top of his fun list.  It’s just the same ole boring stuff in there. Now outside that door… that’s a whole new world just waiting for a sniff.

His inmate trainer says that he already knows sit, down, stay, and bed! She says training is going to be a fun adventure with this sweet boy!
