Progress is Made

Jules is finally settling in and coming to terms that his new environment is a safe one.  He is a bit choosy about which humans he will give the distinct pleasure of letting them pet him but he loves every dog as if they are his very best friends.

As far as training goes, they are still searching for that special something that motivates him into action.  Right now treats don't do much for him but they are going to try cut up hot dogs this week and see how that floats his boat.  If that doesn't work, his inmate will be convinced he is truly from another planet and is not a real dog! (just kidding)

Fear not though, he does see the wheels turning in his head when they train and feels confident he will be obeying commands as if they came down to him like Moses off the mountain.

Personality wise, Jules can be very loving and sweet if you are part of his closely guarded inner circle but he will give you a quick bark if he doesn't like the way to are looking at him following by a speedy get away to the sweet safety of his blessed kennel where he shuts his door signaling that he is done with you for now and it is time for a quick nap.

What a character!  Here he is doing his trick!
