Kay's trainer says it's been another awesome week with her!  But unfortunately it's their last week before she gets sprung from prison and heads to her forever home!  They spent some time outside walking and enjoying the weather, followed by some pool time in the baby pool with her toys.  She had so much fun spashing around in the water!!

Kay has done extremely well with her training, learning all of her commands.  She is proficient with sit, down, stay, here, heel, shake, bed, stairs, wait, lap, kiss, paws up, and she can even bow!!  She loves to do her extra commands (kiss, paws up and bow) and show off while doing them!

She loves to run and play while off leash but squeaky toys are her favorite.  Her co-handler and main trainer take turns taking Kay out to socialize with the other dogs and people.  They have made it a point to ensure she is getting enough exercise as well.  Kay is such a beautiful and gentle dog.

Both trainers have stated they are grateful to be a part of the program.  To be able to provide love, trust, and training to these dogs on a daily basis has been their greatest achievement.  They are both sad to see Kay leave but know she will have a happy fulfilled life with her new family and wish her the very best on her next journey!

Kay is quite the gardener and loves to go to horticulture. She really enjoys being in the garden. She is great company, very social. She is flexible and adapts well to different environments. She has learned all of her commands and is enjoying the extra down time playing with the other greyhounds. She is not picky and if there are no greyhounds to play with, she is content to play alone. She will make a great pet and needs to find her forever home.

Kay is a very friendly and outgoing gal. Her sweet disposition just attracts people to her. She is approachable and welcoming to strangers. This girl wears many hats and can go from calm gardening companion to blasting around the recreational field in her free-time. She does knows both verbal and hand signals for all of her commands and is currently working on no treats with commands.

Kay loves to play in the pool and will stay in until she is a shriveled prune. This girl knows what she likes and will let you know how she feels. She had a sleep over in another dorm and adjusted fine without any separation anxiety or aggression. She is doing well with her commands and catching on quickly. She will even let her trainer take her food away, put her hand in her food bowl, and feed her by hand.

Kay is a wonderful dog. This girl loves people and just craves attention. What a sweetie pie! Even though she loves a good squeaky toy she would rather be petted and loved on. She is doing excellent with her "hurry" command on the potty field. She is so intelligent that even though her official training has not begun she is already heeling great on a leash and will wait at doors. She gets along great with the other dogs and is very easy going. Her favorite activity so far is to get into the wading pool.
