Catching up. Who knew retirement could be so busy?! Where do I start? Well, Wednesday all 4 of us went to A Day in the Country, which I highly recommend, because it’s got a lot of greyhounds to play with and a big yard and kind humans. There was an extremely forward hound called Winston who got a bit too familiar, so I reminded him I was a lady. But other than that I had the best time. The FPs picked us up end of the day and I slept like a log.
Today we went to a dog park called, guess what? Burger Park! A very cool name and we had a blast. It was a massive field with trees and almost no dogs except us. I ran with Daisy and then with Rolli and then we all ran with another dog who was quite fast as other dogs go. Her name was Frida and she was black, too, but not a greyhound. Her Mom really liked me a lot.
I’m getting to know the Foster house pretty well and today I discovered two whole new rooms in it. There is an upstairs! Wow – I hadn’t even realized. I’m pretty good at stairs, if I say so myself, but this was the first time FM moved the gate to let me go up. I checked it out fully and there are two rooms but no dogs or food, so really nothing to report. Good to know it’s there, though, and it gave me some stairs practice.
