Hi again! So, I’m in my kennel (crate they call it) and I need to go out. Everything is dark. I can hear lots of different breathings. Somebody in this place must hear me. So I do some little noises. Like a bark-ette. I hear mumbling “mumble mumble 3am mumble.” No clue what that means but a sound is a good sign. So then I give the single “I need to go potty” bark, which everyone must know. Except these people. They need training, obviously. Foster Mom takes me out. It’s lovely moonlight and stars outside. I think I’ll do this again tomorrow. Back to kennel. Eventually the rest of the room gets up.
Breakfast. My rule is, I get my breakfast and everybody else’s. Well, someone’s been watching that program Intervention too much. Next thing I know, I am not allowed to eat from the other bowls. That FM, who seemed so nice and friendly last night and shared a starlit walk in the yard with me, doesn’t give an inch. Not good, but I’ll work on her.
Then teeth and ears cleaned (no problem for me) and out into the car. A most favorite place. I love car rides. My first morning and already I am riding along with my new foster siblings on an adventure. I love my foster sibs. Rolli is like a film star. Daisy is a bit standoffish, but older girls can be like that. Spirit is warming up. I’ve managed to rest my head on his back twice. We go to a ginormous meet and greet. I’ve done these before. Piece of cake. Look cute, show off my newly bathed and glossy black fur. Be friendly. Hey, this is who I am. It’s a walk in the park for me. Daisy slides under the meet and greet table to snooze, but I love this. People and dogs just everywhere. I love the people and get lots of compliments. Loads of greyhounds. It’s a greyhound and people party!
