What a Day!

Yesterday was quite an eventful day for Raider.  He started the day in Roswell, then headed south to our place.  A big thank you goes to Scott for transporting him to us.

At lunch, he got to meet our gang and did very well even though they can be a bit overwhelming to a newbie!  Corky was just beside herself with excitement.  She loves meeting new friends, especially greyhounds, and I don't think her tail could've wagged any faster. :-)   Raider patiently let them "check him out" and he did the same in return.  Gretz was his typical grumpy self, so Raider did the best thing and just left him alone.  All the others were curious in a nice way.  We were very pleased with how well they all did together.

Then it was back to work at our pet lodge.  He happily met several people who commented on how sweet and beautiful he is.  He also got to spend some time outside running around with Starfire (another one of our fosters).

Our bedroom is full of dogs every night and Raider fit right in.  He was a little restless and woke me up a couple of times rubbing his muzzle on my side of the bed.  I tried to get him to rub it on Gary's side instead, but I think he likes me best!  ;-)

I'm sure he's glad the initial meetings are past and that today won't be as eventful.  Now, he can start getting used to being one of the guys.
