Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:30PM Buddy is an exceptional companion and will make the perfect dog for anyone who likes to have a pal to go with them anywhere. Nothing rattles this guy. Cool, calm and collected, Buddy is a great all around guy that loves all other dogs and people.
Buddy is absolutely perfect in his training. He's known his commands for a long time now so his trainer is working on some new skills.
Monday, October 5, 2009 at 9:06PM According to Buddy's trainer, he is a dream greyhound; fun, playful, well-adjusted, confident, happy and eager to please. He may be one of a kind. He went to visitation last weekend and did really well with the kids, crowds, and all of the strangers he met. He was attentive enough to show off his commands for anyone who was willing to watch, shaking hands with everyone who wanted to meet him. He also gets along fabulously with all of the other dogs in the program.
Buddy is a go-getter and loves to go and do things. While he likes to relax like any greyhound does, he is happiest when he is out and about doing something, meeting people, and seeing things.
Buddy has mastered every command including shake and they added "flop" to the mix this time around for the more advanced dogs, where he flops over to his side from the down position. He loves when his trainer calls him from across the room and he can run to her and put on the breaks, sliding into her arms on the slick floor. He thinks this is way fun.
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 9:16PM Crenshaw Tuff is now known as Buddy. His trainer says Buddy is a big loveable puppy. He is friendly to everyone he meets - men, women and children. Buddy is full of energy and loves to run and play with all of the dogs in the program. He gets along well with all of them, including the puppies in the CCI program.
Buddy has been easy to train as he is very eager to please. He learned how to sit, down, wait, come and kennel within the first three weeks. Buddy is a beautiful boy who is also very smart.
Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 9:10AM Crenshaw Tuff arrived with the others at the Gadsden Correctional Facility on Thursday, August 27th, around noon. The first week and a half is spent with the inmate/trainer as a way to get to get settled at the facility and get to know each other and bond.
Training actually began on Monday, September 7th. We are currently waiting on reports from that week's training to update the blogs.
