Training Update: Week Four

Daisy is full of personality. She loves to play with the other dogs and enjoys romping in the turn out yard.

She is doing great with her training, showing off her sit, down, and wait commands without hesitation. Stairs continue to be a challenge, but she has a stair training buddy now - Dex. Hopefully he will show her the ropes.

Daisy is a lover and enjoys a good ear scratch as often as it is offered. She attended visitation with her trainer for the first time this past weekend. Visitation is a very loud and busy place, full of children and they are usually eager to love on the dogs. The dogs, however are not all eager to receive such excited greetings. Daisy did ok with this loud environment, but clearly prefered when things calmed down after a little while.

Things also improved when she saw the cheesesteak the trainer's family brought to her as a gift. Daisy licked her chops hoping to get just a little taste, offering a sit and a down over and over again without being asked. All it earned her was some kibble for her polite manners, but obviously this girl is food motivated.
