Got water?
Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 7:16PM As you can see, Molly is such a cutie!!! This is a picture of her on her first night at my apartment. As soon as we returned home, the first thing that she found was the water dish. She was so thirsty after a long day at the Sandy Springs meet and greet that she laid down to finish off the bowl of water. It was the cutest thing, so I had to take that photo opportunity.
Molly has been at my apartment for 3 days now. She’s adjusting to the retired life really well….sleeping most of the day and enjoying the ear and belly rubs! Molly also enjoys chasing the stuffies with Vada when I throw them across the room, but hasn’t quite figured out how to play with them yet. I’m sure that she will figure them out soon enough.
So, what’s in a name? When I first got Molly (previously LK Moe), I wondered why the breeder would name a female a male name. Of course, usually breeders have no rhyme or reason to the racing names, but I was still curious. So, I did some research on greyhound-data.com. It turns out that Molly had 3 other females in her litter: LK Eeny, LK Meeny, LK Miny, and, of course, LK Moe……eeny, meeny, miny, moe….. Poor Molly ended up with Moe. I think Molly fits her much better ;-)

Eeny, Meeny, Miny and Moe - that is just to funny! You are so correct in that there is no rhyme or reason to what the breeders name them!!
