Almost Home

Bella is doing great in her foster home as she waits to go to her forever home.  She is a sweet, playful little girl.  She is doing well on her walks.  Bella's new toy is a stuffed chicken.   She entertains herself by throwing it in the air and catching it.   She also enjoys playing with a stuffed soccer ball.

Bella is curious and loves exploring her surroundings.  It’s fun to watch her discover new things.  When she has completed her adventures, she makes herself comfortable and settles down for a nap.

Training Update

Bella went to vistitation this week and was totally fascinated by the children.  As she became more used to all of the activity, she settled in and took a nap right there on the floor.

She loves to tire herself out playing on the soccer field and has learned to play fetch indoors with a stuffie or a rope toy.

Bella is coming along nicely with her training.  She is playful, and playtime is being used as a reward for a good training session.  Bella now knows the verbal signals.

Training Continues

Bella is a loving girl who approaches everyone with a wagging tail.  She still enjoys playing with her toys or kong and continues to be inquisitive about her surroundings.   Bella loves to play soccer with her muzzle on.  She can push the ball all over the field from one end to the other and is her favorite thing to do.  Bella has a new BFF, Sheba.  Bella will seek her out and hang very close and they play very well together.

Bella is doing very well in training.  Bella is quite the student.  She and can sit, come, wait at the door, stairs and stay.  She is working on down.  Smart and beautiful, a great combination anyone could fall in love with.

Relish Jar has a new name, it's Bella.  She is very inquisitive and alert to all the new sights and sounds around her.   Bella is a friendly little girl and quite the beauty.

Bella has mastered the stairs and walks beautifully on a leash.  She knows how to wait at the open door of her kennel and is making progress at doing the same at an open doorway.  Bella is working on sit and the here command.  She has discovered a kong wubba, which she LOVES so now they are using that as her reward for good training.  Bella likes training so much that she practices the stairs during play time.

Arrival at Gadsden Correctional Facility

Relish Jar arrived with the others at the Gadsden Correctional Facility on Thursday, August 27th, around noon.  The first week and a half is spent with the inmate/trainer as a way to get to get settled at the facility and get to know each other and bond.

Training actually began on Monday, September 7th.  We are currently waiting on reports from that week's training to update the blogs.
