It's Forever and For Keeps!

Seems Francis' foster family decided to adopt the little sweetheart so now she will be in her forever home!  I know that Francis is tickled pink and I know the Mannings are as well.  She will be well taken care of there and will be living with one of her sisters, Carole Ann, and will be able to see her brother, Rex, from time to time.  Whoo hoo for Francis!!!  We are all so happy for all of you!  We'll see you at some future events or meet and greets!!

I had the pleasure of keeping Francis for the day on Saturday and the night as well, so she could attend the Jonquil Festival with us.  I must say she is a sweetie and has the most beautiful face I've seen.  She is a good girl and does what is asked of her.  She was a bit nervous last night being in a strange home and all, but did finally settle down on the dog bed to sleep.  She is curious about the cat, sniffing her, with her tail going round and round the whole time but is completely fine with her.  She has helicopter tail which means it goes truly around like a helicopter blade.  She is surely a happy girl and her personality definitlely comes out more at home.  Actually, that probably isn't a fair statement because yesterday's fesitval was her first so I imagine with time and exposure she'll be much more comfortable with that environment!

Who me, I'm not afraid!

Last night there was a terrible noise, loud boombs and crashing with bright streaks of light beaming into the window and I didn't even mind!  My foster family said it was only a storm, not to worry.  Who me? worry, no chance!!  I love being with other Greyhounds and people so much that even the worst storm does not bother me.

Tonight I am going to get to go to PetCo with my foster family to get some treats.  Yummy, I love treats! When I get back home, I am going to get a bath because tomorrow, Saturday, I get to go to the Jonquil Festival in Smyrna.  Maybe I will find my forever family there.  Once you meet me you will not be able to resist!

What a SWEETIE!

Francis is now sleeping all night by my bed on a doggied bed.  She lets me know when she needs to go outside to "do her business" by going to the back door.  She is such a joy and she has the sweetest personality!

She loves to be around the other hounds and always comes when you call her name.  Her favorite place to be rubbed is ALL OVER!

It is just amazing how well Francis has adjusted to life away from the track.  She was introduced to my daughters Jack Russell and had no problems at all, not even when Ruthie stood up and gave Francis kisses on her nose. 

Francis really loves attention but is perfectly fine just laying around, especially when she can watch TV.  She enjoys watching Dancing With the Stars with me and my husband!  I took Francis for a walk with my 3 female hounds and she walked without pulling on the leash.  When you tell her to lay down, she goes to her bed and lays down.  When you tell her to come, she comes.  What an obedient doll she is!

This sweetheart is just waiting for someone to make her their forever girl.
