Hey, Again, Everybody!

Poor Foster Mom Pat spent almost a whole DAY without a greyhound in residence.  Poor thing. Lucky for her, a family crisis in my new home brought me back to her less than 24 hours after Plastique/Sammy was adopted by his new family. We look so much alike, some of her neighbors don't know I ever left.  My old playmate, Kahn, and I were glad to see each other. His big brother, Maks, has a messed up knee and doesn't feel up to playing. To tell the truth, he's sorta grumpy. Luckily, he seems to be improving a bit and hopefully won't need reconstructive surgery. He's too old for that kind of stuff.  My temporary new sister, Trilly, wasn't much for "boy games" either so its nice Kahn and I can run off our energy with each other.  Stayed tuned for more updates!

New Foster Home

My BFF, Kahn, was competing in a dog show this past weekend. Hooray, my buddy qualified and earned his Companion Dog title! Mom had to be there with him to give the commands he needed to follow. That left me home alone with Big Maks(alpha dog, but still a dog), so a nice couple we had met at a Farmer's Market Meet & Greet volunteered to keep me for the weekend. We hit it off so well, they want me to stay longer.  I'll be with them and their lady dog Trilly now while looking for a forever home. She's another of those Shepherd types, but she's Belgian rather than German. Old Mom's nephew said I 'm starting to act like a herding dog from hanging out with them so much; but, I'm so tall  I'd need to herd giraffes if I want to nip heels.

Pet Therapy

Oh boy, that was great fun. Last night we joined a pet therapy group that Mom and her old greyhound were in. Well, Mom did ask permission first.   I met 4 new hounds I hadn't met before.  That was nice, but it got even better. As we worked our way through the building, the people were terrific and so happy to see us.  A pretty little brindle girl and I showed off our sits and downs. We  got pats, hugs, scratches, and even a few treats.I could get used to this very easily.

Mom thought I was having a bit too much fun when I started pulling her down the hall to find more people to meet.  I don't like to make excuses, but I was really excited. Another first was riding an elevator. and I was calm, cool, and collected with that.  Hey, it beats climbing up and down stairs.
