Now her trainers came up with an idea to get miss Juice motivated (the treat shaker). When the other dogs are getting kibble from the shaker out comes "jealous Juice" and she will run after the shaker till she gets some. She still has a hard time playing and running with the other dogs if they get too rough but does great when she's off leash and playing with her trainer (and the kibble jar).

Juice enjoyed a weekend switchover and did well except for a warning growl while chewing her rawhide. The other trainer was giving out rawhides and another dog got too close but showed no aggression so they are going to work on Juice's manners. All in all Juices had a very fun weekend!

Training Update - 042411

Doggie training camp is now over it was so much fun especially sharing our knowledge with all the participants. Juice enjoyed all the extra special attention, her being a social girl and even will move another "grey" out of the way so she can get all the attention from everyone. Juice did get to socialize with an 8 month old labradoodle " Tori" who thought it was alright to hit Juice in the face and muzzle with her paws! She took it all in stride and probably was thinking "why is he hitting me when I'm a foot taller?"

Juice had her eval and did excellent on all commands although her trainer says sometimes on "stay" she'll get up to follow if she gets too far away with her treat! She continues to socialize well in the dorm with residents, staff and other dogs. She shows no sign of aggression and is really just a happy, fun, and intelligent dog!

Training Update - 041711

This past week has been very fun and eventful for Juice and her trainer. Juice has spent most of the week socializing with other potential trainers who were attending a training camp to learn about all the aspects of being a dog handler in the program. Juice really enjoyed all the extra pampering and attention. She was even taken by an alternate trainer to the education building and to the neighboring dorm. Her trainer received great reports on Juice. She adores people and works well with different people for training exercises. She says she is a very fun dog and will be a perfect pet for her new adoptive family in her forever home.

Training Update - 041011

Juice had a pretty quiet week. Her trainer says she likes to keep her on a pretty set routine with equal amounts of training and playtime. She is improving with that every day.

Juice is beginning to show some interest in toys while in the dorm. She will chase them and fling them around. She really enjoys her squeaky. Juice would rather sit and lounge on the porch with people than run and play off leash with her fellow greyhounds. She is a very calm and fun dog to have around.
