M&G

Hey guys, you already know I am a shy gal.  But I went to a meet & greet at the Petco in Cumming today.  I met some very nice greyhound friends and a couple that said they might want to adopt a sweet calm girl like me.  My foster dad bought some new toys for all of us today but I really like to chase my foster brother around the yard rather than squeaking the toys.  I like to make him think that I might be able to take those toys away from him but I just fake him off.  I never even try to mess with his toys.  It was a long day for me with the ride to Cumming, the m&G and the ride home but I did great having a long nap in the back of the big car.  When we got home, I got a nice meal, chewed on a hoof for a while and an going to sleep for the night now.

I really am a very sweet but shy girl and would love to meet a family where I can show someone how sweet I really am.

Have a great night - Calleigh.

LIfe

Yep, life is good.  I've got a cushy comfy grassy backyard at my foster home.  There is nothing like laying in the cool grass taking it easy!  I'm having fun here with all my foster siblings.  I am very jealous/envious.  I just found out today that my foster sibling, Asia, is going to her forever home tomorrow.  Where is mine?  My foster mom and dad love me bunches and bunches but I know I will not be living here forever.  I'd like to get settled into my forever home soon.

I've still been being the best girl in the world in hopes of getting a new home.  I have been in my foster home for 2-1/2 weeks and have only pottied in the yard.  I've left everything along in the house that is not meant for us hounds.  I do still love to chase the ball with Murphy.  I love getting lots of ear rubs and lovies on a daily basis.

Good day maties from Calleigh.  I am at my new foster home and enjoying my time with my 5 other canine friends.  I am learning to play ball with my foster brother.  I run after the ball with him but let him bring it back to my foster mom.  It's alot of fun.  I've been being a VERY good girl.  I've had no potty accidents and have no bothered anything in the house that was not mine.  I could tell that my foster mom went to the G Braves game Friday night.  When she came home and let me out she said "Can I get a poop poop?".  She's crazy like that but we are having fun.

We went to the Pigs and Peaches Festival yesterday.  Funny thing was - I did not see a single pig or peach.  However, I did see alot of nice people and children that petted me and rubbed my ears.  I was worn out when we left.  I left in the car all the way home but it was a good day.

I just had dinner and it's time for my evening nap.  More from me late.  Much love from Calleigh.

Training Update - 101011

Calleigh's trainers report that she continues to grow every week.  She walks around by herself in the dorm and approaches people more easily now.  Her trainers say she is very loving, fun, quiet, and tries to please you with all she has.  She has mastered all of her commands and performs them with treats or without.  Calleigh is very ready to go to her forever home.  It will take her a bit of time to adjust, but once she does she will be a wonderful pet.  Her forever family will definitely fall in love with her!  She is a beautiful girl, both inside and out.  Her trainers say she is the best!  They are going to miss her, but they know she will make her new family very happy!

Training Update - 092411

Calleigh has really perfected her commands this week.  Not only learning some new tricks, but being perfect on her regular commands.  She is also doing very well with doing her commands without a treat.  Her personality continues to come out more each day and she has become very playful.  Her trainer says when she gets to her new home it may take her a couple of weeks to get comfortable.  Once she is, her new family is really going to enjoy her.  Everyone that meets her just falls in love.  She is so sweet and even tempered.  When she goes and visits other dorm areas, everyone tries to dog nab her from her trainer.

Calleigh is extremely smart and loving and has such a warmth to life as she grows more and more comfortable.  Her trainer says she has been a delight to train.  It has been amazing to watch her settle in and grow into such a wonderful dog.  She says she will cherish those memories.  She is a much loved little girl!
