Training Update 080311

Striker has been showing off to everyone because it seems he knows his training is complete. He now does all of his commands without hesitation and isn't being real stubborn about it. This guy is well balanced as he's friendly, lovable, calm , laidback but is also very playful. He loves playing with the other greys and even gets a little vocal chasing his trainer.

Striker has become a very confident fellow as he has his tail up high except when he's wagging it back and forth. He's come a long way and all his hard work really shows. He now likes to play with tennis balls and while learning the "UP" command his trainer used a wagon (which he loved) so now anything with wheels gets his full attention. Some lucky family is going to love the new and improved Striker!

Training Update - 072511

Striker’s trainer says his personality has definitely blossomed!  He is so happy and excited just to get out of his kennel every morning.  He literally has a great big smile on his face.  He is so playful and full of life.  He loves to play with all of his toys, especially the squeaky ones.  And of course his favorite duck.

Striker has been doing great going with different people to different areas.  He displays no separation anxiety, but his trainer says it makes her feel really good when he gets really excited when he returns to her. He is doing great with his commands, and has even learned the up and off command perfectly.  They are still working on stay.  That one is Striker’s least favorite.  He gets so anxious for the treat reward he can hardly control himself.

His trainer says Striker is an awesome, laid back dog that will make someone a wonderful companion!  She will miss him terribly when he has to leave.

Training Update - 071811

Striker has a great calm and tolerant temperament.  He especially loves to be petted on his face.  He is completely ok with fact-to-face contact.  He walks right up to people and put his nose right up to their face.  He really loves to be hugged and kissed on.  You can do just about anything to him.  He loves it!

His trainer says one of Striker’s favorite games is peek-a-boo.  She covers his face and eyes. He waits for a short time and then pulls the covers off and jumps around all excited.  He even has been the one who starts the game. Striker’s trainer says he is a wonderful, affectionate dog.  He will be a wonderful companion and family pet.  He is definitely a lover not a fighter!

Training Update 070511

Well now this big fella has earned himself a little nickname "Paw Paw", must be the touch of grey and his calm demeanor. FWD Bold Striker does love to play though, tossing toys then catching them or if they go too far he shows everyone how he can pounce on them!

His training keeps getting better and better as "Heel" was a snap and he's getting better with stay. He's also got "Lap" under control but still insists on "shaking" with anyone and everyone! He did spend time with his alternate but nothing but rave reviews about his stay!
