Available Greyhounds

The adoption fee for an untrained and fostered Second Chance Greyhound is $275. The adoption fee for a Second Chance Greyhound who has graduated from our prison partnership program is $350. These dogs are represented with an icon.

As of August, 2010, your Greyhound will be microchipped and registered to you upon adoption. Registration includes a year's membership in the HomeAgain Pet Recovery Services program plus life-time registration of the microchip in the HomeAgain National Pet Recovery Database.

Those Greyhounds deemed Tolerant of cats and small dogs indicated during testing that they would be okay living with either in a home environment, however, close supervision is a must. The Greyhound should be muzzled when around the other pets until the adoptive owner feels 110% comfortable with the interaction. There will be a longer acclimation period needed with these Greyhounds, and the adoptive owners would need to follow the instructions given by the adoption team.

Those noted as being Workable will require some additional training and supervision when introduced to cats and small dogs. Again, following the advice of the Adoption team is critical to the successful homing of these Greyhounds.

Those Greyhounds noted as being Not Tolerant of cats or small dogs have indicated during testing a tendency to not be safe around either in a home setting. When in public, an adopter would need to be aware of this and be cautious when either would approach your Greyhound.
